Queen w/Freddie Mercury (insert joke here)

I completely believe that I overlooked Queen on all my posts on this thread (especially my first list).... I deserve a "pie in the face" for that one.... or a self imposed :banned: at least.....

And yes...Paul Rodgers is no Freddie Mercury..but for I won't get into that again for everyone elses sake! :)

I should also add...

3) Genesis ('69-'74: Peter Gabriel era)
4) CCR
5) MC5
6) The Stooges
7) The Ramones
8) The Kinks
9) Black Sabbath
10) Otis Redding

Great band, miserable concert and I wish I'd seen Queen as well

First...Must clarify on Black Sabbath... Definitely w/Ozzy, but not w/Dio......

I would also have to add onto the list for now:

1) Procol Harum
2) John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers (earlier years)
3) Stevie Ray Vaughan
4) Earlier period of Status Quo
5) Janis Joplin

Stiff Little Fingers played at the Mason Jar a few months ago....I think sometime around Sept 2004. The newer stuff was not nearly as good as their classics...the classics were great and made the show well worth the $15 or so. Much more polished than I expected. The greatest thing about the show was that Bruce Foxton of The Jam is now the bassist for SLF.

I saw that they were going on tour but I missed out on that. That's cool about Foxton, I love the Jam, very underrated band IMO.

Y'all hear? - The Jar is closed, will reopen as a gay bar. No lie.
Yeah - the Jam! I have a nice 30 song remastered collection that has most of the best songs...

Wow, there are several bands that I always wanted to see in concert, but unfortunately most were before my time, broke-up, they're not beyond their prime, or vital members of their group passed away (leading to their doom).....

I would say my top 10 of those acts, but not ranked in any particular order...

1. The Beatles
2. The Who
3. Alice in Chains
4. Led Zeppelin
5. Cream
6. The Police
7. Soundgarden (hope they reunite one of these days)
8. The Clash
9. Jimi Hendrix
10. The Yardbirds

Although these are all great choices, I think you left out my favorite.........Elvis baby!!!! ;):D

I was fortunate enough to see the MC5 a few times back in the day and they were the forerunners of a lot of genres.

Another band from back in the day; The Stooges!
Looking at your list you would have loved seeing them, back in the day.

I saw them in 04 with Mike Watt on bass and they blew me the hell away. Amazing show. Thats the only reason they werent on there. But yeah, a drugged out 21 year old Iggy would have been amazing, IM sure.

Coltrane with McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones.

Gaddabout I was at a Elvin Jones Drum Clinic about 25 years ago & he was GREAT!

Bands I've seen or wish I'd seen the original...
The Who w/Keith Moon on a "good" night. (Saw them w/Kenney Jones & Zak Starkey)
Ringo Starr w/a little help from his friends, John, Paul & George. (Saw him on his own & All Starr Band)
The Doors w/Jim Morrison (this is funny http://www.rodeoswest.com/)
Elvis Presley w/original band (No disrepect for the TCB Band intended)
Lynrd Skynrd
John Lennon
Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Badfinger (I saw them in 1982 with Tom Evans (Bass) & Mike Gibbins (Drums) from the original)

A lot of good ones mentioned already.

I wish I would've seen Creed back in their big-time days. That first album was awesome. Then Human Clay was just ballz...even Weathered was a very good album.

Too bad Scott Stapp got a little weird to bring things to a halt.

Okay, I've been in denial all this time....The band I really wanted to see all along and never have is......

You must be registered for see images attach

Milli Vanilli!!!!!

Girl you know it's true, oh, oh, oh
I love you

My wife still has her ticket stub from seeing them in Minneapolis years ago. She is the only person I've ever met who will admit to paying to see them.

I saw INXS. Great live. Michael Hutchins screwed up the words for Mediate though. I was in high school. My friends and I knew it word for word. That's okay, though. We forgave him. :)

Michael Jackson. Without a doubt.

Saw Michael Jackson and the other Jacksons on the Victory tour when I was 12 years old. First concert ever. Loved it. Was awesome.

BTW, I have to add Bob Marley to my list of "wished I would have seen."

Well, DCR was 5 when Wendy saw that concert...now I feel old!

When I was 7, I remember I really, REALLY wanted to see the BAD tour in 87. It was the first concert I ever wanted to go to.
