His best achievement in college was this

''Had a season-high 12 tackles and had five kickoff returns for 116 yards against his hometown LSU''

Why didn't the guy play in '09?

He's not that small either, 5' 10.5", he towers over Michael Adams.

I have this picture in my mind of Graves & Whiz passed out and George Boone has snuck into the war room and taken over.

Ive just found out that the reason he wasnt playing last year was because he was declared academically ineligible all of last season

Apparently Calvin had a verry impressive pro day where 31 teams were present.

The complete opposite of Myron Rolle who I was hoping we would take a chance on.

Looks like it wasnt academics.... It was an ineligibility due to seasons played. Or something like that.

NOOOOOOOOOOO. San Fran took Kyle Williams, that is a shame. I hope he muffs a punt right into our hands in a big game...of all the teams he has to go to it's SF.

As I understand it you can't start at a University, then go to a JC without losing a year of ineligibility.

Cards take cornerback in sixth

Posted by darrenurban on April 24, 2010 – 12:10 pm

The Cardinals took Troy cornerback Jorrick Calvin in the sixth round, necessary after the Cards dealt Bryant McFadden earlier today. At 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, Calvin ran a 4.64 and 4.46 40s at his pro day. The negative? He didn’t play as a senior after being ruled ineligible, because Troy administrators figured out he had run out of eligibility after starting his college career at Northwestern State in 2005 and then going to community college. An interesting choice, although he was a starter for Troy before that (two interceptions in 2008) and was on the radar of NFL teams.
There it is....

So....nobody has picked Crompton or Snead? I didn't like either guy but some people had them projected as 3rd rounders.

Yesterday I told Cardiac that I had feeling we'd all better buckle up because I had a gut feeling Whiz was going to land us in this draft with the reverse thrusters on and standing on the brakes because he was coming in heavy.

I think that just happened.

I DO trust Whiz. He is the guy that thinks everything through. All of this has obviously been spinning around in his brain and he's been talking it through with everyone. I'm more than willing to give all of this time. I trust Whiz enough to believe that it's going to be OK. More than OK. For the best.

We shall see, but we're months away from opening day. I'm ready to give it the time necessary and watch it develop.
