I think his biggest problem is that he really is playing out of position. I still dont think he is a probowler as a guard but I do think he would be alot better.

At 1-5 I think the team needs to just flatout blowup the Oline and find out who can play. But with Greens job hanging by a thread that wont happen.

All in all, still the weakest link on the Oline is Step. THAT should of been addressed ALONG time ago.

We need to spend BIG money on 2 new veteran tackles. replace the center with ANYONE other than Step & IF Big stays it has to be at guard.

Nobody would trade for him he sucks and only has 11 more weeks worth of contract.

Somebody in need? Blind of course, and they can't hear very well. Prone to jumping the gun would help.

I'm dissapointed with his play but he is not the biggest of our O-Line problems. Step and Wells played much worse than he did today. I still wonder why people focus on him so much, it doesn't matter what he gets paid and it doesn't matter where he was drafted.

That is the lamest philosophy. It most certainly does matter what he is due to be paid and his draft status is VERY MUCH a factor in how he should be performing.

You know what I find ironic?

Green says that draft status and a players pay have nothing to do with if they play or not in one breath then says Big is paid too much to be a guard?

It seems odd to me he'd care what Big is paid, in a sense it dosen't matter that he's an overpaid guard, we don't have a better alternative than to put him there.

I agree it's odd we have to pay him left tackle money to play guard if that's what we do but we wouldn't have to do that if Green either dosen't switch him or puts him back and admits failure a year ago.

Whats worse is that he specifically said this week that 4 out of the 5 make at least 4 million per year and need to start performing like it. So obvioulsy pay matter in his eyes too.

He is the most visible and highly paid lineman. So he gets "QB" status with the line. When the offense stinks fans focus blame on the QB, the most visible offensive player. Since LD is the "QB" person on the line more blame gets focused on him.

Of course lately he's earned every bit of criticism. The worst is that after calling attention to himself with a large number of false start penalties last year he continues to jump early this year. Lack of dedication or lack of focus or maybe he needs a hearing aid.

If we can't move him to guard he is not worth the cost of the new contract. So I will sign on that I too see him gobe and we rebuild this off season on the whole line. Once and for all. To block for our great RB and going to be great QB.

Big has been horrible but I'm putting the blame on Green and his ego, Big has never been a tackle and is too slow for the position, hence all of the false starts, holding penalties, whiffs, etc... If Green would wake up move him back to guard where he belongs and not worry about what he is being paid, we are 11 million under the cap so its not like we are cap strapped... BIG IS A GUARD DENNY< QUIT PLAYING HIM OUT OF POSITION HE SUCKS AS A LT>>>

He's as good as gone.

After getting 10 million this season he'll want the same. Cards will offer 3-4 mill a year if not 2-3. He'll turn it down and be on his way to FA. There's where he'll find he's no where near in demand that he thought he'd be.

He looks like a fat F out there...he's WAY OVERWEIGHT!! He came into training camp 40lbs overweight.

We should trade him while we can. We could get a second rounder for him.

I am soooooooooooooo tired of Big, he's a big ole idiot, I'd play him starting next game as a guard and tell him your being resigned as one or your gone, have fun draining another owners wallet you fat turd.

You are definately my favorite on this board

Nope, Tackles are getting overpaid, just like corners. Really, the guy leads a charmed life. He's going into the weakest free agent class ever and there will be a lot of teams with a lot of money to spend.

He's going to make serious bank, I just hope it isn't from us with a statement like "We are now set at LT for the next six seasons."
