here's a 6-7 game update for those of you who want to know how the guys from last years squad are doing (excluding mr. johnson)

RICHARDSON- his knicks got their first win tonight after losing their first five... he remains a starter but only gets 6.8 ppg... he was never a consistent 3point shooter, but .235 from beyond the arc is horrible... he's playing ten less minutes a game but is averageing the same amount of turnovers... he's getting less boards less assists and less steals while shooting a worse percentage... and here's something that stands out... he did not shoot his first pair of free throws till tonight... i was never a big fan and didn't lose any sleep over losing him but it does not make me happy to see him doing so poorly... he even looks uncomfortable on the floor... *struggling*

HUNTER- his team is 4-3 which is good for 1st place in the weak atlantic... it seems like they will compete with the nets and a decent celtics team to finish 1st place there... good news (for hunter not philly) is he is starting... he's putting up notable career numbers in ppg (9.3) bpg (2) fg% (.658) rpg (4) mpg (29.3)... but it will not last... with dalemberts return he will be back on the bench... i'd like to see even better numbers out of him with his new minutes but i have to remember he is just a fill in and is not capable of big numbers... he will do fine here and probably play even better off the bench... it's a nice fit... *success*

VOSKUHL- they are the bobcats so they're 2-5... there is a lot of size in charlotte so it's hard for him to even get out on the floor as the third big man off the bench... he's only played twice... i can't really say anything one way or the other because i have not seen him play... he played 16mpg in his 2 appearances and averaged 5.5 ppg which is probably what he'd give them every game if he got some run... i always liked him... he had some heart... the year before nash he played a decent sized role here... all he can hope for is charlotte moving some of that size before the trade deadline so he can get on the floor... if he can't get minutes there, he can't get them anywhere... *struggling*

MCCARTY- congrats mr. mccarty... your team is in first place in the west at 5-2... too bad i haven't seen you play, which is probably going to be the case this season... he got his first minutes tonight against philly in a loss... he just got put on the 12 man roster... he shot 1-5 from 3 point range... once again i can't say much because i haven't seen him play... atleast he's warming the bench for a winning team... they may even sneak into the playoffs... this is what happens on the downside of your time in the nba especailly if you spent your career coming off the bench... i guess if you're in his position you can't really ask for much more then what he has... i'm going with... *success*

OUTLAW- he's in the same position as mccarty in his career... he's playing more minutes, but his magic have little hope of any success especially with mr. hill having problems again, they are 2-4... 12mpg and shooting the worst percentage of his career at .273... he was above .500 every year of his long career except this year and last... he's a nice guy... maybe they have room in l.a. for him... walter can save him a seat... he's playing but his team is horrible... *struggling*

PARKER- BIGGEST I WAS A SUN LAST YEAR SUCCESS STORY... #1 in steals per game (2.83 spg)... did you see him d nash!... he is the starting, yes starting pg for a competitive lakers squad at 3-3... nash numbers (scoring wise) from last year with .508 fg%, .400 3p%, and 14 ppg... the offense runs through kobe so his apg (3.5) are low for a pg playing 36mpg... and since he's not making plays his turnovers are low (1.5 to)... do i see him keeping up this pace? no... but then again i did not see him even starting off like this... *success*

TABUSE, SHIRLEY- where you at??? (someone boost mobile them)... *struggling*

feedback???

Good work, nashmvp.

Parker is the real surprise. I did make a prediction that the Suns would be embarrassed by how well he would do for PJ's Lakers after we dismissed him so lightly but I have to admit I didn't expect him to get out of the gate this fast. I mainly predicted that because someone here said that he would be an embarrassment to the Lakers and I was sure that wouldn't be the case.
The nice thing about Parker is that no one else here thought he had any promise at all so, in the future, if someone starts bragging about what a wonderful spotter of talent they are, I can bring up Parker. (At my age, I can never remember who said what so I need universal counter examples...)

Vroman is playing minor minutes for NO and doing about what you'd expect from a second rounder in his second year. Haven't seen him play. From my memory of a few boxscores, I'd say 10-12 minutes with a couple of points and a couple of rebounds.

Lampe has disappeared from the Hornets' game rosters... he had some decent games in the preseason but he must have gotten hurt.

Jacobson - haven't seen his name in a boxscore yet this year. My guess is that he was waived and lingers in limbo.

He signed a deal in Europe. The Heat brought him in, but decided to go with Kapono instead.

He signed for Tau Ceramica, a top3 team in Europe.

Former team of Andres Nocioni and Arvydas Macijauskas, while Luis Scola and Tiago Splitter still play there.

I guess you can't do that for me. I picked him up in my Yahoo league and he's put up HUGE numbers for me!

Yeah, he has a left foot injury, precisely toe and heel problems.

And you forgot Travis Hansen, Predrag Drobnjak, Roko Ukic, Serkan Erdogan and the mighty Kornel David... :D .

That's a big european team (and last euroleague finalist) and Casey had a slow start despite having playing time (especially in his 2 euroleague games).

If you saw hunter's sixers against the lakers, Chris Mimm lit up the sixers for 20 pts, on mostly assisted layups. I remember thinking: where is Hunter, who is guarding Mimm? Mimm was invisible against the suns.
