There was no good enough reason to change the plan. I heard Gil Brandt falling all over Whiz this morning as a hidden Gem, consistant, cool headed, no ups and downs.

I watch the Cardinals, just because He's cool on camera, look at his actions. 51 newly signed players! upheaval, We had a decent plan going forward, completely thrown out the window!

He threw the baby out with the bathwater. I hope He pulls it together with this new squad, But that leinart move was stupid! We owed him 2.5 last year! We could have found out before the 12.5 million this year. Which is less than Kolb.

I can't think of what Whiz was good at last year? withing the HC job description? help me out here? This is a new year and if He moves the club forward from here, But i don't see it.

I don't think ML was the problem last year any more than Kolb is the Answer this year.
We have to balance it up and rest the D.

He didn't throw the baby out with the bathwater. The "baby" pissed in the water and then cried out for a change and Whiz obliged him by putting him up for adoption. And there was only one family willing to take on this problem child.

# shleven should be coming in soon, I wanna see this "re-birth". I imagine it to be a lot like that Jim Carrey movie where he really just falls out of the hot rhino's ass. Jim Carrey does a great Leeenert.

well even piss water QB's are hard to come by, Watching this MNF game, Coaches are both max protecying their seasoned QB's. Both are mixing in the run, helping the play action. not throwing 10 times in a row, to see how Kolb responds. then running 5 times in a row to see how the RB responds.

There are not many Kurt Warner's, He was blessed, I respect your point, We'll see how Matty responds, to a QB friendly coach and system, Jets are a tough first test, We'll see.

But i know Kolb would benefit from a run game and balanced attack, like he had in Philly. I want to see Kolb play within him self and trust his team mates, I'm confident He is not allergic to the run.

Watching Matt tonight against the Jets. Yep, he still sucks.

He doesn't throw long...and sometimes on the shorties he throws behind the receiver.

I was a Matt backer simply because I knew he was better than Derek Anderson....but who isn't.....Kolb is much better.

Seriously. The only difference I see in him is that he is not wearing a knee brace. Missing a RB in the flat. Missed a wide open wr high and behind him on a 15 yard slant. Lots of roll outs and 5 yard catch and runs.

He can bootleg and hit that 5-7 yard pass all day, but that's about it tonight.

Yeah what's up with that. It's like the Jets just stuff everything else and then leave that wide open.

No matter how much Leinart sucks he's still better than DA.

I never understand how fans can say a second team QB is good or he sucks. Most of them look like they play exactly alike to me.

It's like the opposite of play action pass, they Leenert acts like he is going to pass but just dumps it to the runningbacks after the defense thinks it's going to be a pass.

Not really. Everybody on the Texans except Matt and the RB take off to the right and then Matt nonchalantly rolls left and tosses it to the RB who is not only not covered there's nobody within 20 yards of him. They've worked it 3 times that I've seen. 9 yards, 29 yards and again for the 4 yd TD.

Against a team like the Jets that forces teams to take what's underneath, it doesn't seem like such a huge indictment against Leinart to do just that.

13 points in the 2nd quarter wasn't exactly flashy but putting points on the board on each drive wasn't terrible either.

13 points, no turnovers.

Leinart isn't flashy enough for everyone around here but he can be effective and efficient.

Play action and getting the ball to his RB's is exactly how he won a Heisman. Why shouldn't it be what he does best at the NFL level? Especially when it protects the ball and puts points on the board?

:sigh:

Are you referring to a pre season game?

The Jets handed him everything he got on a platter.
