13 points, no turnovers.

Leinart isn't flashy enough for everyone around here but he can be effective and efficient.

Play action and getting the ball to his RB's is exactly how he won a Heisman. Why shouldn't it be what he does best at the NFL level? Especially when it protects the ball and puts points on the board?
That's fine for college, NFL QBs can throw it deep and on slants that require precision. All of Leinart's yards were after the catch, after his 5-7 yard dump. It's why he isn't here.

No matter how much Leinart sucks he's still better than DA.

Did Matt Leinart ever throw 29TDs in a season? That alone makes DA better than Matt Leinart despite how bad he was here to be honest. I'm not watching the game but a RB is accounting for 80% of the receiving yardage? :lmao:

First pass over the middle, we've seen that before.

All I saw was the Texans utilizing Leinart's tools with their playcall, and it worked until the Jets figured it out, then enter Rackers for the FG.

The Jets were just giving that to the Texans. And finely gift wrapped on a silver platter. But nothing else the Texans did seemed to work.

For anyone who watched the game did Andre Johnson play at all.

THis is freaking ridiculous. I wanted this guy to be the man, but his weaknesses are on full display. No vision. Staring down receivers. Dump passes that are tipped or batted down. No eyes down field. C'mon man!

He threw a pick? I had quit watching, was it a pass for over 10 yards in the air to avoid getting hit? Just a shot in the dark here.

Stupid Kurt Warner. If he hadn't gone 2-8 as a starter in 2005 the Cards might have drafted Bobby Carpenter or Tye Hill instead of Leinart.

Well He is not as sharp as he was last year, He had more in-completions and interceptions than all last pre season, might be the first game out of the lockout or the Jets.

I tend to think he was not as good as I graded, for the first time on the field with the Texans, we'll see if it continues.

Skelton looked better.

I can't diss a QB for a tipped pass, that just happens.

However on the next series the Jets were 3 plays and out. Gruden was critical of Leinart saying that with his 6 years of experience he should know better than staring down his primary receiver. Bottom line is he threw no pass over 10 yards. This was typical Leinart.

You mean, he might not be a top 5 QB in the NFL? Interesting, was the first clue that he was cut from a team, or the fact that no team with a QB need even considered him for a starting role this season?

I graded hell hotter than hell but only on a 4:7 ratio which gives hell a grade of 7/10 but it could be cuz it was only one day and not a full eternity but I reserve the right to grade accordingly. Hell+Grade=Success. Answers coming, HC, Devil similar? Think about it, Selah

And Leinart continues to suck LOL Wow forget the OP.

I think Wiz deserves a lot of credit for getting rid of him when he did. If last night wasnt THE reason believing in Matt is a bad idea, then I dont know what to tell you.

He had happy feet in the pocket, no presence, and was Capt Checkdown the ENTIRE game. Throw the ball downfield chump.

Man I am glad we have Kolb. Even THE SMEL is jumping ship!

I watched some of the game. Leinart looked the same - terrible footwork and slow, slow, slow in the pocket (slow release too). Does he still think he's at USC? why hasn't get "gotten it" by now?
