That's a great deal, especially with a 250GB HDD!

Update, I just found one on eBay for $269, and $30 shipping. I did the buy it now, and I will pay for it on Monday.

It offers the following connection options:

Composite AV (RCA): 3 in (1 front, 2 rear); 3 out (1 front, 2 rear)

S-Video: 3 in (1 front, 2 rear); 3 out (1 front, 2 rear)

Component video: 1 out (Y/Pr/Pb)

HDMI: 1 out

RF: 1 in, 1 out

Analog audio (RCA, L/R): 3 in (1 front, 2 rear); 3 out (1 front, 2 rear)

Firewire: 1 in

Ethernet: 1

Digital optical audio out: 1

Headphone: 1

With the Upconversion, and the 250GB HDD, Ethernet port, this was a no brainer.

Too bad that it does not have Component In, but there is no way that I could get one at this price that does.

My last thing is to wait for the new HDMI 1.3 receivers to come out, and my home theatre will be complete.

I think I’m all caught up now. I set my DVR to record it every time it was on, and they replayed the older episodes. This is an awesome show.

I just finished doing a lot of research on the Battle of Bunker Hill. D-Dogg, that’s a great idea to save these on DVD for your kids. I remember reading about this stuff in school, but I’m such a visual learner that the lectures just went in one ear and out the other. I’m such a visual learner (hence all of the movies), so I’m really taking this stuff in.

My library has volumes and volumes of WWII video, but it’s hard to find good information of the Revolution.

Damn...I forgot to send you that DVD...I apologize. Dreamcast, you also requested one. I'll get to work on that.

No problemo, luckily for me they replayed the old episodes. This show is way better than anything on primetime right now. Thanks for mentioning it.

Every ep has some little tidbit I had no idea about, and the political b.s. between officers is crazy.

When you look at it on paper, the Revolution is one of the most insane things any people have ever done:

Guy A: Hey, let's take on the biggest baddest army in the world.

Guy B: Cool, how many people do we have?

Guy A: Not a lot.

Guy B: But they are excellent soldiers though, right?

Guy A: No, not at all. We have to teach them to fire weapons.

Guy B: Hmmm.......sure, why the hell not? Bring on the British!!

Yeah, I’ve been watching this every night before I go to sleep. I’m starting to dream about it!

I just watched the episode about Benedict Arnold. I’ve heard his name a lot obviously, but I never really new his story. I found it fascinating that West Point used to be called Fort Arnold. And that it still likely would be, if history had occurred differently.

I just caught up to the point at which the British have acknowledged defeat. I don’t remember from my US History class the importance of the battles in the South and the French coming in at the last minute to seal the deal.

I finally finished off the last couple of episodes. It was a great series. I learned a lot and I’m glad I watched it. I’m glad that the Continental Army won, it wasn’t looking too good there for a while. :)
