Walker, Wall (a year over the timeline but tempting), Connelly (although his injury issues scare me), rozier is even tempting.

There are plenty of pg options via free agency or trade. Can't say the same about big men which is why getting ayton is such a big deal

Wall has one of the worst contracts in the league. No way should the Suns entertain trading for him. He'll be making about $40 million a year in 2020 and Washington will be a fringe playoff team struggling to put pieces around him. Wall and Blake Griffin signed Super Max contracts that are making every other team question paying their own superstars that sort of money because of how hindering they could be.

Like I said he was just an example. I wouldn't trade too much for him due to his contract but the fact we don't have to pay ayton and Josh Jackson for a while can make it somewhat feasible

I went to a Taylor Road show tonight to focus on beautiful guitars. Was pleasantly surprised to see us get the first pick. Please don't be a bust, Ayton.

I don't know if he's going to be a generational player but I can't see him being a bust, or even close to it.

But you don’t want saddle the team with an extra MAX when It comes time for hopefully Ayton and JJ to extend... especially with an owner who’s know to be... stingy.

KEEP BUILDING. Don’t hit the fast forward button which could ultimately put us in reverse in the future.

I brought up other examples. Wall is an option if we largely give up nothing is all I'm saying. He's not my top choice. Walker and rozier are.

Hell there might be more available then I can even think of at the moment.

Bordow will have some good articles coming from all of this. Looking forward to his new mock draft tomorrow and then coverage from the combine. It feels so weird to know we can have literally anyone we want from this draft class. I know Ayton is the player we should be focused on but knowing they get to choose, rather than stuck with whoever is left, is such an odd feeling as a Suns fan.

Josh Jackson wants the Suns to draft Ayton with the #1 pick. I say let Josh have his way. He brought us luck today.

"For me personally I would have to say DeAndre Ayton," Jackson told ESPN while discussing which prospect he thought he would fit best with Phoenix. "A kid I've been knowing for five- or six-plus years. I've watched him grow from a freshman to a senior in [high school], and I've seen him improve every year, adding something more to his game. Before his shot wasn't really that good and now you got to respect it, you can't leave him open because he can knock it down. He's got so much potential and he's such a hard worker, that's probably who I would go with."

agree. with his size, agility, and a good fundamental jumpshot, i believe he is the safest pick this year or last

We need to keep Len around to mentor Ayton. Time to pony up some money!

Indeed. Suns are not supposed to feel this way.

My thoughts... it's about time.

the bonus of picking #1 is that we get to experience lottery pick night and draft pick night in the same night
we may not be positive about the pick tonight
but we will surely know long before the actual draft

I’m not worried about giving up assets. Those guys are going to command MASSIVE contracts. Most teams... especially miserly teams can’t afford more than three MAX deals. We put one on the books in FA this year to fast forward us to 40 wins immediately might make our cap situation very problematic when hopefully Ayton and Jackson are ready for extensions.

Chandlers 14 million contract next year actually is ok now, as he will be the perfect mentor for ayton. Then the deal expires next year.

If we package Dudley and 31, could have about 30 million in cap.

We should spend this year, kyrie is not going anywhere , klay likely signing extenstion, can't see kawai passing on a 219 million dollar deal with spurs... Those are top 2019 free agents.

If you want to get nuts and save for 2020, hope suns are intriguing enough Anthony davis would consider?
