Going back a bit, I think Rick needed help in the church. There were at least 4 Hunters, right? IIRC Abraham, Michonne, and Sarah all killed one in the end. When Gareth told his guy to comply with Rick because they didn't have a choice, the guy was ready to disobey until Abraham stepped out of the shadows. Had they scattered, Rick would have had the odds against him (which they probably would have done even if he started picking them off from the darkness). Plus he really...seemed to want to kill Gareth up close.

The cliffhanger was a good one, and subtle. I assume it's not just Carol, either. Could be Morgan, could be a hostage, could be someone we've forgotten or haven't met yet (I haven't read the comics).

I like this season so far. In fact, I kind of can't believe the Terminus storyline is over after three episodes. We spent like 10 years with the Governor.

Whenever new human antagonists emerge, I always wonder if the have any relation to earlier groups of bad dudes we've seen/heard of (like the group they briefly fought in season two, for example, when Rick shot two in the bar and they rescued that kid who'd been impaled on the fence).

I hope not. We need some fresh characters and I grow weary of them bringing back old foes. The fact that everyone just keeps on runnin into eachother in the midst of all this chaos is the only thing that consistently rubs me the wrong way in this show.

The new antagonists will not be affiliated with any other group. At least not in the comics.

Tonight's episode was kinda "blah". Pretty boring to be honest.

Their trying to build character for Beth.

I thought it was kinda dull til the end.

I wonder if Noah is the one that's with Daryl in the woods. And damn, was Beth getting ready to kill the doc when Carol came in?

Definitely. She was going to take down their entire system which was basically slavery/indentured servitude. The cops were intentionally injuring people (i.e. Beth's broken wrist) and then having the doctor heal them so that they would be in their debt and have to work it off. But then they'd also owe the group for food and whatever else the cops decided and would never be able to get out of debt. But if Beth killed the doctor, it all comes crumbling down.

However, Carol showed up so Beth won't kill the doctor so he can treat her.

That's my guess. As for last night's plot. So much for The Saviors. Good job on the producers throwing in that little trick of putting the cross on the back of the car only to have it belong to that hospital.

Was that one of the vehicles in the parking compound outside the hospital when Beth and Noah made their mad dash?

Ohhhh so that's not the Saviors?!? I didn't know that since I have not read the graphic novels. So....this group is not in the original storyline?

Nope. Completely made up storyline and characters.

That is a little concerning. Seems too "Woodbury" to me. Hopefully, this is wrapped up quickly and we move on to The Saviors which sounds like much fun.

And the idiot gene crops up in the Walking Dead writing pool again. Take one character who has a whole story arc, apparently, and ignore it completely. Focus entirely on one other arc completely and end the episode on a cliffhanger. Completely ignore said cliffhanger to go completely to the other heretofore ignored arc. Show a preview for next week that appears to ignore both the cliffhanger AND the other arc, to focus entirely on a splinter arc.

ABSOLUTE EYE-ROLLING MORONS.

I have this sinking feeling that the first half of the season is now going to plod along until the mid season finale when we finally get to meet the Saviors. Then the 2nd half is going to be setting up the season finale then we'll spend all next season on this.

Anyone think that the uncle that Noah is trying to find is Morgan?

Or Tyreese. But then Sasha would be his aunt and he didn't mention an aunt.

Pretty big coincidence though.

I'm calling it: The person Daryl was traveling with at the end of the previous episode is Noah.

Such a boring episode. Walking Dead is back to its usual tricks. The Abraham backstory isn't even entertaining.

And I freaking called it!! I said that Eugene is no damn scientist and that he was just using this to get himself protection and head to Washington for some other gain.

They need to hurry up and show what happens at the hospital and then back to the church.

Well, those who read the comics already knew Eugene was a fake not to mention that it was blatantly obvious. But I do agree. They have 3 very good episodes to start the season then put the brakes on for 2 totally boring and pointless episodes.

Yep.

Yep.

Still left with the cliffhanger from TWO episodes ago, and a non-finisher of the rushed, way-too-much-packed-into-one-episode from last week. The writers on this show are schizophrenic, I swear. How you could move me from complete love for the season at the start to wondering why I bother watching ONCE AGAIN is beyond me.
