Loved this season so far. Regardless of not feeling like most of the main cast is in trouble, being in that town where any of the towns people can die has kept tension high IMO. Can't wait to see what happens now that the tower fell.
Mid season finale and season finale's often means big time deaths. Hopefully the core can survive this Sunday

Well, that was awful.

And even though they saved Glenn, they might as well have killed him as far as I'm concerned because every scene he's in now I loathe and just wish he was dead.

They also just brought up something really stupid. Why don't they always have walker clothes on whenever they're going on runs or dangerous missions? Why would they EVER actually take those off if the smell makes them invisible?

And Morgan's an idiot who I now hope does as well.

Such promise up front in the first three episodes and the show just fell flat on it's face down the stretch.

and i realized i'm kinda hate-watching the show now... fast forwarding through A LOT of it as I watch it.

Gabriel needs to be killed off, he brings NOTHING to the show. I've also had it with Carl and Morgan.

Couple of thoughts:

Walker guts on all the time - I'm sure they stink like the lower bowels of hell, maybe that's why they don't have it on them all the time. But yeah - better than death.

The gratuitous trip by Carol - ugh.

Gabriel - ugh. What is he still around for?

Morgan - this high horse is getting old.

I personally liked this season but I can't deny some characters are getting on my nerves. Morgan for example and his protect all life crap and Carol going all whack job. Really?

Other than that, I have enjoyed the season and with you know who coming for the 2nd half? I can't wait.

Yeah it is falling into stupid land.

How many times have people tripped and fallen over a pebble in the last 6 episodes. I'm begining to think the writers are Cardinals fans who were inspired by Beanie Wells. Don't get me started on climbing ladders or fences. It's like they ran out of ideas and threw a bunch of crap out there to fill space.

Had so much promise after the season started with some really good episodes and then quickly went to "Fear the Walking Dead" land. Almost painful to watch at this point.

Although the whole preveiw of Daryle and Co. getting stopped on the road by the Biker gang looked interesting enough to keep me around.

The episode that was based on how Morgan became what he is today was one of my all time favorites.

But the whole Carol vs Morgan thing and Morgan protecting the Wolf has totally ruined his character. Morgan could have been a Daryl type of character but now he is just a joke.

The kid with the horrible hair cut who won't come down stairs is another character I could do with out. I would have thrown him from the 2nd stroy window as a diversion and walked out the front door.

I also don't understand why Rosita and Tara would give the Wolf their weapons. Rosita can hit a Walker in the head 100% of the time and the Wolf had his head right out in the open. Made no sense.

That bothered me as well, greatest collection of sharpshooters ever and nobody will take the head shot? I mean they regularly make head shots on moving zombies from 30 yards with a hand gun with damn near 100% success rate and they couldn't take the shot from maybe 10-15 feet? As someone who shoots fairly regularly the marksmanship skills to me are pure fantasy but might as well keep it consistent in their world.

and... why once they had no weapons... did the Wolf let them live?

One thing I realized. In the "extra" scene. When they stopped the truck. Why would you get the hell out of truck with no weapons? Abraham has a freaking rocket launcher at that.

Negans group... The poo is about to hit the fan.

The guts on the clothes bothered me too. Made it too easy, I would just roll like that full-time if it guaranteed life like it did right there.

Not is much mayhem as I anticipated but I enjoyed it, can't wait until it picks back up in February (which is so far away)

I'm still glued to every single moment, fast forwarding and being on your phone seems wild to me.

for me, it's a matter of you can only watch the same people be in constant jeopardy for so long and surviving EVERYTHING before you become numb to what's going on. Rick/Carl/Glenn/Darryl/Carol/Maggie... none of them are going to die and they're constantly put in mortal danger that they escape in unfathomable ways. And then that feeling went into complete overdrive with the idiotic Glen thing/Rick surrounded by zombies and literally NOTHING happening to them and not even showing HOW Rick got away. There's simply no stakes in the show for me anymore after those two moves. Not to mention other things like the distress call that ended the episode with Darryl... that went absolutely no where. It's like they don't know how to end act outs or episodes without throwing some kind of jeopardy that will never be discussed again. it's lazy writing and as someone who does it for a living, it drives me completely bonkers.

throw on top of that that the actual dialogue and twists and turns are run of the mill and it's all turned me into the Watching Dead... just doing it on auto-pilot really at this point, but the first distraction I get, I turn away just like the walkers.

Lots of good shows out there. I've never understood people who invest time and energy into something they don't like.

That's the problem with this show. Plenty of suckage, but they get just enough good stuff in there to keep you on. It's an awful cycle until you decide to break it. Stop being the watching dead :D

that biker gang is going to change the entire show. I avoid spoilers like the plague but I know Negan is well known as the worst villain in the entire comic. Kirkman mentioned Negan was introduced to change the dynamic in the comic because it was getting too familiar of how things would go down and with Negan he was able to change everything.

Gabriel...HATE this character. Brings nothing to the show.

Older son of motherdick...uhm, he needs killed. Carl needs to do it.

Younger son of motherdick...uhm, isn't his mom a HAIR STYLIST? Bowl cut? Really? Shut up, kid. Ben or whatever your name soon to be was. Dead idiot walking.

Carl is actually one of my more favorite characters now.

Also, rewatching this show with my daughter - it's a much more interesting show to binge than most...the story isn't so mindnumbing when you can binge it.

The "help" voice was Eugene in this episode. Kirkman confirmed it. Basically just a link in the timelines.

Weak for sure, but it was addressed. Poorly.

Why was it stupid? When you are doing multiple story lines going on at the same time in multiple episodes it is nice to have a few linking moments to establish the timeline.

What makes it dumb is it's pretty standard when you have multiple aspects of a story happening at the same time, the audience assumes it's the same timeline unless otherwise established. That's why most writers will say "12 hours earlier" or something like it.

I don't recall them doing anything similar. So, doing something like that is really stupid. It the audience is confused about who the voice was.....that just confirms it.
