still the highest rated show on cableI cant wait personally, its a shame they take breaks and stuff. I imagine the next 8 episodes will be preparing for war and maybe the war starting, itll be fun but itll leave me wanting more and more.

is a fact, not an opinion. They had a large ratings slide this season and still rule the roost for now. That shows how giant it was previously if you can take that slide and still dominate the airwaves.

You're also seeing A LOT of people that are watching in the hopes it gets better. And people that are invested (like me).
Can someone please enlighten us on why this season is even average? There was a sliver of hope at the very end of the last episode, but this has not been a good season. You have Carol being completely neutered and inconsequential to Jeffrey Dean Morgan's horribly overacted performance as Negan. The only really good things I've seen so far is the death of the One Tree Hill guy and Maggie asserting some authority at Hilltop. The Kingdom is interesting, but we've barely seen it since we've spent most of the time with that bore Carol.

I enjoyed the whole season. learning about the compound, Negans antics, the violence, the fear, the feeling of helplessness. Its been a great drama IMO. I think it was a great setup for what is to come. This is a long term story, not an ADHD type situation, this part of the story is a slow burn to the big stuff. Personally, I have enjoyed all of it and look forward to binging it all as one big episode in the future

I'm excited to see the whole group pick themselves up. I'm telling you, wait till Carol finds out what happened to Glenn and Daryl. It's going to go to the whole next level of Carol badassness.

Hopefully Negan has some character adjustments this season. I understand he's suppose to be scary by virtue of his contrasting personality. Hes a psycho, but he's funny and charasmatic. Kind of like The Joker.
But the balance is off. He's way too silly. Not enough scary.

This part of the story line is slow, it is what it is.
I think he is on point. The one thing he is would be sloppy in my eyes but I think that is by design. He is comfortable and comfort brings sloppyness.

JDM is playing him terribly. He's just a jerk you don't want to piss off, not a psychotic.
lol for the most part I only felt this season was slow but it was by design and by the end I felt it was worth it. I imagine if I binge through the first half of season 7 it will feel a lot more fast paced than one episode a week.
But, is he supposed to be maniacal? Or a total scumbag jerk with a maniacal side?
I thought they all did a good job, from him playing the character to the fear in everyone else that he put down.
I'm just stoked for more. I love this show.

His monologues are extremely boring and bring the show down, that is the main reason why the season is so slow. We get it, you're in charge and you're not nice to those you control. Move on!

He is comfortable because he always has his goons with him. When he kills somebody, he always has his crew behind him with guns on everybody. That whole "The bad guy is secretly a coward" is an overdone motif with villians.
Ive always preferred genuine scary bad guys who dont need backup.
Using Breaking Bad as an example, while Mike wasnt necessarily a villain, he was a constant threatening presence. He's a character whos scary by himself. He doesnt need a crew.
I did notice as each episode went on though, that it became more and more brutal, like a slow, agonizing death or all moral and security.
a lot of people seem to disagree though, thats ok. I love him. I did want his backstory and now I dont anymore as he has had enough time but i still enjoyed it.
