I dont get the sympathy for Dwight. He's a total POS. He enjoys strutting around in Daryls jacket, tormenting Rosita.

It's great he has these brief moments of humanity but that's not enough to redeem him in any way. He's the one who decided to go back to Negan and he's done way more horrible things that we dont even know about. Sure his life has been hard but so has everyone else's and not everyone made a deal with the devil to survive.

He basically murdered the Dr. for no reason. He could have just showed Negan the note, that chick is gone, they're not going to find her.

I'm guessing she shows up in one of the allied towns, she'd make a great spy I'm sure she knows the compound and Negan pretty well. Then it will come down to Dwight has the chance to end everything but he will see her and sacrifice himself for her or something. I have no comic knowledge or spoilers so this is just my guess, but it seems like they're setting it up for Dwight to kill Negan. They keep giving him so much backstory and screen time. I'm guessing that's why.

but he could have said she freed him, he killed her. Instead of he killed her, doctor freed him. Killing the DR seemed to signify that he was negan however maybe he was ridding for one DR who was negan for a DR who isnt.

That would turn out pretty bad for Dwight if she were to turn up in the future, though.

Negan would probably want proof also.

It still could. Lying about the DR did nothing to protect him. I wouldnt be surprised if the girl joins ricks group, negan sees her and dwight is done. He told Negan she is dead, regardless. By mentioning the DR let her out, he protected her again but if Negan finds her, I doubt he will play nice anyway.

plan to catch negan - get all the girls from the all women camp in the middle of a street topless. He will be so distracted by them as he is obviously obsessed with this stuff and you could then destroy everything he has behind him while he is staring at the girls.

I think killing the DR was symbolic for Dwight.... the docs comments...very much, "this is life now, nothing can be done about it"... but Dwight has not completely submitted.... killing the doc was his way of showing he can still affect some sort of change......even if he was only proving it to himself.

Good twist about the girls and their intentions. At this point I no longer think Dwight turns on negan however I think Eugene's loyalty is a sham. Not too much to discuss beyond that though. The doctor in the incenerator was pretty cool

I agree, I think Eugene is surviving first and foremost, but I also believe it was implied a couple of times that he's cooking something up. Tho if that was the case I'm not sure why he wouldn't let the girls kill Negan when they had the chance.

Another fun fact we learned in this episode is that Negans redhaired wife is insanely hot.

My guess, and this is just a guess, that Eugene didn't think the girls could pull off poisoning Negan--all that would do is get them killed and ask questions of Eugene about where they got the poisoned pills and who made them. It was a no-win situation for him at that point.

yes she is!

I think even if Eugene is planning something, letting the girls in on it could have blown his cover and it could all be a test. He is smarter than that.

When Negan came to the door and just stood there looking angry, I thought for sure they snitched on him.

Good lord. That woman is just lovely.

The blonde would have to just be dismissed because I would just hurt her feelings all the time by never paying attention to her. It's the kind thing to do. lol

Agreed. I think seeing Glenn and Abraham really left it's mark on him. Even for Eugene, the heart has to thirst for some payback.

i didn't realize that was her in the other photo. Amazing the difference once she went through the apocalypse.

Haha, atleast they account for that in hair and makeup. Did you ever see the garbage movie the 5th wave?

Among it being completely terrible, there is comedy because that girl in it Chloe Grace-whatever, has COMPLETELY flawless hair and makup through the entire movie.

I took my daughter and her friends to see it and they were cracking up the whole movie at how "on point" her makeup was throughout the apocalypse.

The Rick/deer fake-out... REALLY?

Good lord... it feels like the writers are actively trolling it's audience at this point.

I desperately need a job so I don't have so many hours to kill with atrocious TV.

I have read about 140 to 160 of the comics, and the writers do a very good job of wandering in and out of the general time line of the comics. Plus they have to invent new stories to make it different than the comic or else everyone knows what is happening. The deer fake out may have been a cheap trick, but it lead to a great talk between Rick and Michone. Without the potential loss of Rick, you do not get a key philosophical discussion with Rick and Michone. My wife and I immediately knew it was the deer. It wasn't that much of a fake out.

Yeah I didn't even think it was a fake out, I knew she thought it was rick but it was obviously the deer.

I thought the intent was for us to watch Michone be faked out so we could see how deeply she would be affected by losing Rick.

That was no deer, that was an extremely poor CGI representation of a deer...
LMAO! I noticed that too! They do so many cool special effects, but that looked like on old frame by frame deer insert from the 70's! :)

what's even worse about the episode? the entire thing was about getting enough guns for the autistic group... and then when they accomplished their mission the episode ended with... uh, go get more. From a story-telling standpoint that is so freaking lame. Basically it just means what we saw was a filler episode because it inherently accomplished NOTHING.

Oh, and that CGI deer just made it a double fake-out, as far as I'm concerned. I understand a lot of the FX was spent on zombies in that episode, but if that's the case, figure out a better way to get the narrative plot point across that Michone would be lost without Rick... WITHOUT using a fake deer and fake death.
