They need to just kill Carol already.

Are you tired of her "sitting on the sidelines" or is there something else? She sure has taken some taken some twists and turns, from abused subservient wife, to devious conniving badass, a few stops in between, to guilt ridden useless recluse.

I'm tired of the character they've created at this point, who turned to peace with absolutely zero motivation. And now it's just set up so that when she finds out about Glenn and Flat-Top, she'll turn back. They set up such an interesting dynamic between her and Morgan... and then just dropped it with her character shift.

oh... and that green-screen behind Rick on top of the trash heap was laughable.

I like Carol.

I think shes clearly a time bomb waiting to mow down Negans entire crew. Things like Glen and Abraham are excellent triggers

OK I gotcha

And I noticed the same thing with the green-screen, they tried to save it with a bird or something flying through, but it was really lame

Overall, enjoyed the episode though. Looking forward to the demise of Negan and his henchmen.

She had motivation though, she knew if she stayed she had to kill and she didn't want to kill anymore. She knew if she stayed her people would be killed and she didn't want to see that anymore. Stepping away she can live her life neutrally and not have the severe downs of being a part of the group. Shes running away and hiding, its not unmotivated at all.

The green screen was funny but I didn't let it bother me, it wasn't as bad as the boat in season one of fear.

The zombie was sick though!!!

overall a good episode, the scenes with carol and daryl were very well done. I imagine the girl (tara?) is going to give up the amazons but with how quick they are to draw weapons, maybe she has to go there alone and recruit them.

The junkyard gang was really strange, they seem excessively hillbilly, lathargic and possibly even dont have much of a grasp on the english language? and they all have terrible haircuts? They just do not seem like a force to me but we will see.

I even enjoyed the newest altercation between the the kingdom and Negans group. I thought they would kill someone and set off ezekel but there is still work to do there. At this point its either Carol to turn them or rick coming back with an army to motivate them IMO.

These Scavengers are interesting and an cool change of pace for the show. Although I do find them unrealistic in the sense that it would take a generation or two for speech patterns to change to that extent (unless Jadis' people are merely mimicking her for some reason). We've met a lot of different groups in this world so far, and none have displayed anything like it - I just don't think it's been long enough.

Looks like next week's is a Negan episode that catches us up with Eugene. I guess this means that the war begins in the last two episodes, and since we're still waiting for an incident to make Ezekiel join up and for Tara to sell out the Oceansiders – and since Negan is apparently in season 8 as well – I wonder how far we'll actually get into this battle.

Lastly, my money is on season 7 ending with Carol finding out the haps and gearing up.

I do expect the season to end mid war or at the beginning of the war as well. I also think the war will span over the entire season 8, at a minimum the entire first half.

See you on the up up up (maybe they all lived in the dump before the apocalypse, the epitome of wrong turn hillbillies)

I agree on this new group. What are we supposed to call them, do they have an "official" name from the comic series?

They seem pretty slow on the uptake. "Low energy", and not real bright.

They are not in the comic and they call themselves the "heapsters". Fans are calling them the scavengers. I like junkyard inbreds.

Unless they were a cult that were together prior to everything happening.

I disagree. We all already adjusts to how everybody else in our common environments speak. You speak differently at home than you do at work. Or if youve ever been part of a club or team, they usually have their own little lingo.

I do think this situation is a little different though. In the event of a zombie apocalypse like this, they need to be included in a group, and thus protected, the people will adjust their speech to whatever everybody else is doing, so they can be part of the group.

Monkey see, monkey do, or else monkey gets kicked out of the crew. So yes, I do think people are mimicking each other

and that is actually a tactic of cults. Whatever you can do to differentiate the group from the rest of society, makes the group tighter. Create a "us vs them" mindset. Whether it be speech, or clothing, etc.

Perhaps their speech is being adversely affected by exposure to something toxic at the dump which is causing them some type of mental impairment.

Perhaps their speech is just a function of terrible writing where the staff thought they needed SOMETHING to differentiate this group from all the others and just decided to make them a sci-fi 70's style outcast group... just because.

I'd be stunned if we ever get a reason why their speech sounds so stupid.

You know, your negative attitude is affecting all the other kids in the class. I'm moving your card to yellow young man. Now settle down!

I said it before, and I will say it again. This show really needs to hire YOU to do some writing. :)

I feel like more than anything with this show that what's hampering it at this point is that there's simply no end-game. There's no drive toward anything but... survival and there's only so many times you can tell that tale of surviving over another group of humans before it just gets beyond stale. I mean, they are going to drag out the Saviors story-line over THREE seasons at this point, starting in Season 6, all through Season 7 and we already know Negan's going to be in Season 8. That's just too freaking long for me... especially since Negan freaking sucks as a character.

Seems I am a minority when it comes to the character of negan. I mean I don't like him because he's killing my team but that's about it. I think he's a solid villain and single handedly broke down everyone more than I imagined he could.
