Best line of the last episode was Rick yelling at Negan " don't you ever shut up". I FF through his rants every time.

Is it bad that when they said the season picks back up in February that I thought, whew, I needed a break from this?

I agree with the above, acting, directing, editing, writing, kitchen sink, it's all been way off this season for god knows why. Surely there were better stories to develop from the comic, right?

I'll keep watching next year but we've totally lost the passion for the show after this last season.

So, I fell behind because my daughter has been too busy to watch. Ended up just catching up on my own, couldn't wait anymore. The first two esposides were a bit blah. Unlimited ammo, no death, terrible storm trooper aim and etc.

The next 6 I thought were great and I actually teared up at the end. That was rather powerful.

it was... this episode actually seamed to have a bit of story to it. even though I am sure many folks are upset about the sacrificial tiger....would have been nice to see the big cat get to go off on a group of saviours,...and the results of them trying to shoot it in a crowd and hitting their own people in the process, lol. But I guess an altruistic tiger is something I can live with...I'm a dog person.

The tiger thing sucked to watch, it got me. It was awesome when the tiger threw the combie like 8 feet in the air though.

Good to know that the U.S. Postal Service is still around.

Rosita and the rocket launcher was pretty great. Dumb, but great.

That was awesome

So... Rick’s plan was... literally nothing.

And the garbage people decided to do what they did for literally... no reason.

The garbage people bring no value to the show and never have. I hate them.

When negan showed up with Gabriel as the workers were about to have a mutiny, whatever line he said was so damn good. I don't remember it, need to watch that again

ill probably binge through the whole season again really. outside of the first two episodes I loved it.

I liked the part where Rick picked up Lucile and negan yelled don't you touch her! lmao.

Kind of upset on Carl death though he had a big role in comics after all out war...

he does apparently, in the comic. I liked when he took command too. Thought big things would be coming.

I stopped watching right after they killed off Jessie Anderson in Alexandria. I'm too far behind to consider trying to catch up.

Or maybe Carl got bit from a whisperer comic group later on :) but not likely he looked pale and was sweating heavily.

I think Carl had the new dude bite him so he can go into Negan's compound and pretend like he's going to die from the bite then kill Negan.

I mentioned that possibility earlier...they foreshadowed the whisperers with the skinned walkers a couple episodes back...
dude could have been sweating and pale from shock/stress/anticipation of death...also,...human bites can get infected, especially years into the apocalypse when nobody brushes their teeth.
the show makes it hard to judge due to inconsistency.... Bob lasted quite a while,...Tyrese went down pretty quickly....perhaps moving around helps you last longer since Bob kept moving, as did Carl, whereas Tyrese pretty much just sat down and died....
there were rumors last year that Carl would die so Chandler could go to college or something,.. but part of me thinks its a Jon Snow situation where they want everyone to think he is gone but he really aint... I know they deviate from the comics in some ways but killing off Carl is a pretty huge deviation and would change every story line from here on out...unless Mr. Soul Freedom is going to take Carls place??

If they go Glenn 2 on Carl, they’ll see another huge drop in viewership, IMO.

They can’t be that stupid to be oblivious to the backlash there, not to mention the consistent decline in ratings.

they could make up for that by going back to the quality of writing they had in season 6......the show has been a disaster ever since the saviors showed up

They’ve just beaten that story to freaking death... and there’s still another 8 HOURS of it!

It wouldn’t be so bad if Negan wasn’t just awful. Breaking Bad had Gus as the heavy for at least two seasons but he was such a GREAT adversary that it never felt played out.

Then again, this show doesn’t have a Walter White either.

Why am I even comparing these two shows?!?

I am definitely in the minority. I love Neegan. I just watched the mid-season finale last night. Are people really that upset that Carl is going to eat it?

Honestly, I have a bigger problem with saying he was in charge at Alexandria and that ANYTHING would be his call after some of his stupidity.

i really don't get the furor online about killing Carl. Everyone has ALWAYS HATED Carl... including me. Him being bitten was the best thing the show has done in years!

I agree about Negan.

The carl thing was a bit rough, I liked it when he took control, I thought it may be a birth of a strong character moving forward now that he is old enough.

Well I have read the comics (I know I know lol) but everyone disappointed about certain things should actually read them. They follow the comic more than not. Daryl isn't in the comics for example, they play with certain aspects for TV I'm sure,
but I do not think Carl will die. For one, that would be a season finale not a mid-season, 2nd, as important as Glenn was he actually did die in the comics and Carl didn't. Not really doing spoilers because, like I said, they don't follow the comic exactly so I'm making an educated guess here.

Then again, Carl could turn, bite Rick, he ruins and bites Negan and they run the world from the view of the Walkers lol
