Just curious, do any of you have any insight as to whether players have input to a coaching change, specifically the Cards?

I was thinking that today with regard to Larry Fitzgerald. Would they ask Larry to be a part of the interviews? Larry says his plan is to play golf for a week and then go on a long trip...so in all likelihood MB and SK may not ask him.

So he's gonna be hanging out with birdman for the week. Maybe he can give us some insight.

Haley is borderline mentally unstable. No thanks.

If that were the case, he wouldn’t be the OC with arguably the MOST stable organization in all of professional sports. He’s a very disciplined coach improve this team quickly. I like Haley, but is like Shurmur & McDaniels also. Should be interesting what we do.

It’s not common but I have heard of circumstances where long-term, veteran QBs are asked for input. Never heard of a receiver being asked, but Fitz is not your typical receiver.

Pittsburgh PD spokeswoman says Todd Haley’s wife Christine was involved in a “minor scuffle” shortly after midnight Jan. 1. “The scuffle was quickly ended. Todd Haley was not involved nor injured.” Both Haleys were escorted out of the bar. No injuries or charges.

Report: Todd Haley injured hip in New Year’s Eve altercation outside a bar

The Steelers said today that offensive coordinator Todd Haley will be able to coach in next weekend’s game despite suffering an injury in a fall. They did not provide any details about the fall, perhaps because they didn’t want it known that he had a run-in with someone who shoved him at a bar.

But that’s what happened, according to NFL Network: Haley was shoved outside a bar near Heinz Field on New Year’s Eve after the Steelers beat the Browns.

The report says Haley suffered a hip injury and may need to coach next weekend’s game from the booth, instead of the sideline.

This isn’t the first time an incident with Haley at a bar has made the news. In 2013, Haley was accused of having words with patrons at a bar that included Haley asking a man, “Why do you have to be so gay?” Haley confirmed that he had been at the bar and written “Chiefs suck” on a napkin he autographed, but he denied having anything other than jovial interactions with the other patrons.

Police have reportedly investigated the shoving incident but no arrests have been made.
