What on earth is going on.

This is NOT, I repeat NOT, a criticism.

Tom Moore, 74

Tom Pratt, 76

Alex Gibb, 69

With all the respect in the world for the wealth of football knowledge these men have, it is like having an all-star football retirement home in AZ.

Damn, Bidwill should advertise, and get some more talent in here.

I guess when Bruce Arians said he had connections this is what he meant. Those are three gentlemen whom have had an insane amount of success in the NFL. INSANE amount.

If you cannot respect those three guys then you are just plain arrogant.

But can they stay awake for the entire practice and games? It appears Arizona is in fact a very popular retirement destination.

Well Goodwin is 40 which is fairly young in Coaching years. And a young pup compared to Moore. :D

Bowles is 55 so not a young pup.

Based on all the comments from several Colts players Arians didn't have any issues with communicating with the players.

Bowles is 49

Wisdom as both a concept and a reality is lost on youth.

Between naps they'll be teaching and maybe, just maybe, the Bidwill's will get a maximum return on the field from their investment, and we as fans will enjoy the results.

Well it better be a short term project.

Hope you enjoyed it.

Bee Gees

I started a joke, which started the whole world crying,
But I didn't see that the joke was on me, oh no.

I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing,
Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me.

I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said.

Til I finally died, which started the whole world living,
Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me.

Thank you. I knew there had to be at least one other true Bee Gees fan here. It was starting to feel like Lonely Days, or maybe Lonely Nights.

Well looking at the ages of these new coaches their biggest concern should be Stayin' Alive.

lol just reread that. Black American.

Yeah. I am just now reading a book that is commonly assigned for High School English classes- 1984 by George Orwell. Due to that I am extra sensitive to anything that hints of Political Correctness. Not saying you were being Politically Correct mind you. It's just me on a one man crusade. Y'all don't have to thank me for hijacking this thread either.:)

I got divorced in 1970 right after they came out with their big hit "How do you mend a broken heart". They were playing that song almost constantly at local nightclubs. All I had to do was look misty eyed whenever they played that song and I had all kinds of gals wanting to console me.:D

Thanks Bee Gees.

It's hard not to like this move. Moore is somewhat of a legend. It also likely signifies that we're taking a QB early, in case that was in doubt.

Nice move, FO!

It also means that they intend to at least attempt to coach up Kolb (IMO)

"There are lots of systems, there are tons of systems," Moore said. "But the trick is no systems, the trick is players and making sure you take something that the players can do and not get into, 'Well, this is mine and this is what we're going to do.' It's what's best for the players."

What no system...LOL :)

Concerning Pratt:

Someone already stated he worked at IMG.

If you were a highly touted high school kid in Florida going to college you were coached by this guy.

If you were a highly touted draft prospect and would like to train in Florida leading up to the draft you were coached by this guy.

Long time coaching veteran that guys would go to in the offseason to work on their game.

Semi OT - I was offered an internship at IMG a couple of years ago as a sport psychology consultant. Couldn't do it because of the family and move across the country. That place doesn't mess around with athletes and their physical & mental preparation for competition. Derek Hall just took his kids there for tennis training.
