LOL, isn't that how we won games with Tucker too?

Well, the Suns were always trying to play defense but now they don't have to worry about it anymore.

No more conflict. ;)

Anyone know anything about Jared Sullinger before the injury? I'm wondering if the Suns want to kick the tires.

Salary floor is optional, we don't have to meet and still won't with Scott I think.

The only thing that the Suns have to do is pay out the different to the salary floor to the roster I think.

I think this is the way it works. The players get the money.

I remember Sullinger being a pretty good prospect when he was drafted and as a rookie. I think he had some decent games versus us. Not sure what his situation has been the last couple of years.

This Mike Scott (is that his name?) guy on the Hawks was pretty decent when we played them last year or something. Active long body. I think he had a career game, like most D-leaguers do against our stellar defense. He was more of a wing player though, if I'm thinking of the right player. Guess he'll suit up and battle Dudley for minutes at SF.

Well at one time the Celtics liked him as they drafted him at #21 in 2012.

Actually he didn't play bad for the Celtics per stats.

Also Mike Scott seems to be a PF candidate so the Suns might be looking towards future depth at the position.

Thanks for the information.

Pretty disappointing that the Suns couldnt get anything better for Tucker than this. Two worthless late 1st rd picks and another expiring.

Would've been better off keeping him than this. Not even Bruno or Bebe in the return?

I'm thinking the Suns did not want to let Tucker walk for nothing receiving two 2nd round picks plus Sullinger. His loss likely makes the Suns worse going into the draft.

Also the Suns can even sign him as a free agent if they want him back.

Interview with Tucker on Gambo show. He is saying the Suns changed his life. Classy.

Again, I wish him well.

The Mike Scott for cash is a bit of a puzzler. It came out of nowhere.

Is it me or does much news coming about trades seem extremely one sided for a particular team.

man, do I think you guys over-value Tucker. He's a a mediocre 3 and solid D guy. That ain't exactly a position of hot demand, especially to get a first round pick in a very good draft.

this is addition by subtraction... meaning but subtracting Tucker, we will add to our ability to get more ping-pong balls and get the youngins more run... which is ALL that matters this season.

You can't be a tank guy and then get mad when the team does a tank move. I'm happy about it. Whatever makes us worse in the short-term to make us better in the long-term, I'm all for.

I don't mind getting rid of Tucker, I just don't think the influence on ping pong balls is going to be as big as you might think.

Agree.

It is two second round picks for a freaking two month rental. If we like Tucker that much we can sign him back in July for the same money we would have to spend if we kept him. Bird rights mean nothing since the Suns are so far under the cap.

Good grief

Good...He's still in play this summer if we're interested

It's not only George but the Suns could have gone after a number of good players but held back so as not to ruin their draft position. George may have wanted to go elsewhere anyway. The Suns didn't want to improve before the draft. I expect the Suns to let loose this summer and go after some good players. IMO, a lot of trades fell apart because teams were not willing to part with their first round draft picks in 2017. First round draft picks have become very valuable and the Suns have a bunch going forward.
