I think McDonough has a good chance at getting fired if he does nothing and teams like the Lakers/Magic/Kings etc pass us to the bottom and end up with better picks and we get some 2nd tier prospect after all the losing this season.

I'll be honest... I have no clue why McDonough shouldn't be fired immediately after this season. We're really gonna let the guy who's track record has been a 48 win team, down to a 39 win team, down to 23 wins... and hovering around in the same direction of mid-20's wins.

That's FOUR YEARS he's been given and he literally hasn't done JACK SQUAT to improve the team. We're still a joke... actually, we're kinda worse than a joke. We're a complete and utter non-entity in the league. Can anyone tell me why they think all of a sudden, after a four year death spiral they think he'll magically be able to turn it around? He's had FOUR YEARS. Any team serious about winning would be looking elsewhere.

I thought about this the other day when I heard news of Jim Buss being fired.

Buss was famously quoted as saying that he would resign if he didn't have the Lakers competing for the West throne in 3-4 years and I wonder if Sarver thinks right now that he should have held McDonough to similar standards.

McDonough has done a lot to improve the team by acquiring assets. The suns have so many assets that they are a focal point of many trade discussions. Now the Suns are in a position to make moves or stay the course...Either road isn't a bad one to be on.

Here is the thing...We can tank with the "worst" of them if we wanted to. We got teenagers... Bender is out for the season... Chandler is out for now... Brandon Knight is a one man tank crew... Len has a lot of tank in him.

Trade Tucker/Chandler/Dudley.

Play Knight and Len as much as we can stomach.. Play Chris a lot as well. McD should give orders to Watson we want to "evaluate" our players so give them time on the court.

I think what's saving him is the fact their original plan was to rebuild when they hired JH...but that team got lucky and way overachieved, so they changed the plan on the fly. The following year the team started to fall back to reality. So basically, this should be the 4th year in the rebuild, but is now just the 2nd-ish.

We won't make a single deal....we will tank. Have the best odds for 1-2 pick and we will get 5th..draft some 7ft1 18yr old man child from Serbia. God it's great to be a suns fan these days.

Good news! The highest rated Serbian is Borisa Simanic, and he's seen more as a late second-rounder. He is 6-10 and only 18-years-old though....so I guess he could grow three inches and catch the Suns' attention. :0)

Bulls came into process hoping they could find a late 1st round pick somewhere. Doesn't sound like there is much value for Mirotic right now

I thought Mirotic was a better shooter than his stats indicate but he is not a terrible rebounder. He would be a solid bench player for a 2nd round pick.

Suns don't need mediocre role players to steal minutes from their young players.

Seems to be that many European players recently surprise in their first season(s) and then suddenly regress way quicker than expected.

Mirotic
Motiejunas
Nurkic
Splitter
Bargnani
Koufos
Galinari
Valunciunas
Mozgov
Boban
...

I'm not talking about the Suns but I would think he would be a good pick-up for another team on the cheap.

The Suns should be looking for draft picks or young players.

I wouldn't mind if the Suns considered trading a protected Miami pick and Knight for a first round pick in this draft and something else.

For the time being Brandon could be a useful tank tool If Watson has the guts (or brains) to bench Bledsoe more often in favor of playing Knight. Plus that would save wear and tear on Bled.

We need to be ruthless in our tanking ways!

:shocker::gun:

You are ruthless! :)

It could be a strategy but Tyler Ulis needs those minutes to develop. Let's hope Knight gets traded to save my sanity.
