My guessing short list

Jared Allen (though not a good fit, would be a nickel pass rusher)

Shaun Phillips - Titans are out of it, he has experience in a 3-4.

Jabaal Sheard - Not sure he is a pass rusher, but he is a 3-4 OLB

Tamba Hali - he fits the profile, but the Chiefs aren't out of it.

Lamaar Woodley - Name and 3-4 knowledge ownly...I haven't even looked at his contract.

maybe Chris Clemmons from Jax

How about this Osi Umenyiora? The Falcons are done. I don't think he has ever played OSLB though, but I think he could transition pretty fast.

re: Allen, Woodley and Clemens

all just signed FA deals this offseason. The trading team takes a significant cap hit to trade him. (also Woodley is out for the season IIRC)

Osi -- thought about that -- but he isnt starting for a bad defense, and isnt productive ( 1 sack thus far) . He looks to be done.


I am sticking with my Calvin Pace call -- Jets are truly done. He is decent pass rusher, and is solid vs the run. Signed a cheap 2 year, $5mm contract this past offseason.
