and would have to cut someone off the roster because how are we going to fit those in?

Williams is absolutely useless not only that he is nothing special at all we have 3 players that play the exact same role in Beasley, Morris and Morris.

Maybe the Suns should stop taking on this Timberwolve trash, just an idea.

And instead of trading #5 for #9 they should maybe start considering trading Gortat, Scola etc for assets not our #5 pick.

Exactly. Williams sucks, and the idea of taking on JR Smith is terrifying. Hopefully we've learned that late lottery is the NBA equivalent of purgatory, and we bottom out for Parker/Wiggins next year.

All kind of rumors out there about Smith right now, they include the Spurs, Celtics, and Suns. Must be an agent trying make some headlines while everyone is looking at NBA news and rumors.

Can't see it.

Williams actually look pretty good when getting consistent minutes. I believe he averaged 20 and 8 when getting thirty minutes or more. He would be the best pf on our roster. I am not sure he is the solution, and I am not sure I would do it, but it is not a silly idea.

he averaged 15/6 @30mpg post-allstar game far from 20/8. He is not better than Markieff Morris really.

I am sure they are. Number 5 pick is just a better asset than any of our current players are, and is therefore much easier to trade. There's no doubt in my mind that McDonough is looking for picks in exchange for Gortat, Scola, Dudley, etc

Please. Markieff Morris is the most overrated player on our roster. D-Will is better and his upside is much higher as well.

I am not sure if it is really worth it acquiring more picks in this year's draft. There's no denying the talent level is lacking. Rarely do you see this many teams at different draft positions, including #1, trying to unload their picks. There aren't any likely superstars, and there doesn't appear to be much depth either.

Perhaps the Suns would be better served if they could pick up a pick or two for next summer instead.

Except nobody is willing to do that because that draft is predicted to be a lot better.

Now this is a player I could see the Suns go after. Like McDonough said ..... we do have assets! I say use those assets to land him! After saying this, I will be shocked if Wash. passes on Porter for Bennett!

Now I'm reading that the Suns have interest in PG Pierre Jackson who would likely be available at #30.

There must be something going on with the Suns persistently looking at PGs, maybe a trade or something.

I don't think the talent is lacking. Franchise-level talent is lacking, but I think there is a bunch of solid players in this group. Good role players are future assets that you can use to trade for a franchise-level player. I'd like to the the Suns add one more pick this year and one future pick.

Ha, true. Everyone knows he is garbage, and a huge miss, especially considering Faried/Leonard were available. (and considered better players by most analysts)

The Suns seem to be enamored with Shabazz and can take him at No. 9. They might take him at No. 5.

holy cow...IF this is true...and we trade back with Minny in that deal to get us Shabazz and Williams, I will probably give up on this new front office before they even get their feet wet.

nothing like putting MORE cancer/tweeners on a team thats already got both of them on it!

come on new GM...don't be this stupid. whatever's shred is left of this suns fan in begging you.

There isn't any player in this draft that would earn a "holy cow" from me. I don't like what I know about Shabazz but I really don't like much of anything in this draft so if the front office is convinced he's a star in the making I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. In fact, I'll buy into whoever they draft. It's not because I have ultimate confidence in any of them, I just don't really see another choice.

That's ridiculous. I'm going to give McDonough the benefit of the doubt. The guy is young, but has a proven track record when it comes to the draft and an eye for talent. If he feels that Shabazz is the BPA when our pick is up and that we can trade back and still get him, then I'm all for it. I'm not going to criticize him just because I've seen some highlight videos of a few prospects on the internet and maybe caught a game or two. If he shows consistent ineptitude and the habit of drafting and acquiring low ceiling players like Blanks, then he will deserve some criticism.

living in LA, I watched Shabazz all season and the guy doesn't have NBA game IMO AND is a cancer. The only thing ridiculous to me would be drafting him.

and adding another tweener like Williams just screams like more of the same to me.

A lot of people said that James Harden and Kevin Love didn't have an NBA games. I was one of them.

As far as bringing on Williams, I don't have a problem with it if it means that we'll be losing one or preferably both of the Morris twins and Beasley. I don't think McDonough is so obtuse that he doesn't realize the glut of wings/tweeners this team has without Williams. I think we'll see a lot of movement during the draft and this offseason as McDonough shapes the team.

to be honest, I was one of them too. However, both Harden and Love besides being better talents then I expected them to be, were also bona-fide leaders. Not complete and utter cancers, who lie about their age.

i guess we'll see.

What if Minny took Beasley back?

then they would be the single dumbest franchise in the history of the NBA. Sadly, neither isiah or sarver circa 2010...or hell...summer 2012 is captain of that ship, thus I don't see it happening.
