Maggette has always been unhappy in LA. ET will retire, he's just thrown in here to make the numbers work.

Why are you trying to destroy what little defensive hope we have? :)

I wouldn't mind this trade as I think Marion is leaving anyway and Maggette would bring a lot of the same things Shawn brings to the table and he is cheaper. Also the Suns get TT and lose Banks, the way it should have been the last time around. Sam would be a good backup for Nash if he were so inclined. However, I'm not quite sure why the Clippers are doing it.

marion/brand/kaman might be a front court to be reckoned with. then you can also throw al thornton into the mix and you have a pretty dangerous team.

Banks D is overrated, just getting rid of him is a huge plus. Wouldn't really miss Shawn's D all that much, not like he's all defensive team or anything.;)

No one will ever notice the roll Marion fills until he is gone.

I think we should keep shawn this season he means so much to this team with his defense, rebounding, and scoring would be hard to replace. Also no matter who you bring in it will hurt team chemistry if we get rid of Marion. I definally say we keep Marion for the playoff run

Are you kidding me? Do you not see how Marion is playing? Who cares if he's unhappy! He's playing like he's damn happy, which makes me happy because it means we have a shot at the title. Without Shawn we do not. Period. He is an athletic freak and does so much for this team. If he's gone, forget about speed, rebounding, loose balls, etc. I hate his attitude as much as anyone, but I think people don't realize how important he is to this team.

marion and Maggette are not alike.

Maggette rebounds well, does not defend well, scores off the dribble well, passes poorly.

Marion defends very well, rebounds very well, is not an off the dribble threat, passes poorly.

So I guess yeah they both pass poorly.
