Personally I hate it. Good teams build through the draft, seems like we draft just to rent and groom players and send them off to replace them with cheap washed up players.

Beanie is teetering a fine line - 1st rounder
DRC may be traded - 1st rounder

levi brown not under contract - 1st rounder.

WTF are we doing????

beyond that, of the three? DRC has bar far been the best. He has potential to be a top 5 CB for us for 10 years. ARGGGG

Neutral. Im cool with keeping him and letting him go if it nets us the QB we need.

i think we're getting bent over royally... and it doesn't even look like we've prepared to deal with the loss of DRC.

I was soooooo stoked for rhodes, wilson, toler, drc, peterson backfield. Losing DRC put all our eggs in peterson and if he gets injured or doesnt go to the pro bwol I feel like we lose in this situation.

If we were trading for a proven starter I might feel different but for kolb? + a draft pick? why dont we just trade picks for washed up players next year. Is emmitt smith available?

All hypothetical of course. But in this scenario Kolb becomes I very good bona fide NFL QB? DRC will have been well worth it. Sometimes you just gotta roll the dice.

Kolb could suck or be good. We just don't know. We know DRC can be great. Good teams led by competent leadership do not trade away good players for unknown players, they just dont do it. That and Whiz has already showed the fans he can't develop/judge talent adequately at a consistent level. This trade absolutely blows if the Cards give away DRC.

Or DRC could continue to flake out like he did last year.

You roll the dice with picks and not players.

DRC could have already hit his ceiling. He shows flashes of great and is also very bad and self admittedly loses interest during games. If he nets us a bona fide QB and I KNOW its an IF. He will be well worth losing.

Getting: Unproven QB who still plays like a 2nd rounder.
Giving up: ProBowl CB, and (at least) a 2nd round pick.

:bang:

Yeah maybe, but there's a good reason to think he'll be good again. The whole D flakes out last tear. Why is just DRC being singled out? He'll light it up in Philly.

You roll the dice with whatever it takes to get you the QB you covet. JMO. QB just to important. 5 wins with DRC last year FYI.

5 wins with Larry Fitzgerald. Get rid of him too. Silly logic.

I would rather give up a 1st and 3rd. Giving up DRC takes us a step back, unless we can add a good corner. I say it sucks if we lose him.

I'm neutral on it.

I'll be happy if we get a starting QB out of it and we replace DRC with a decent FA CB

5 wins with Ken Whisenhunt last year too. Who had a bigger impact on the team just sayin. This will be another blunder in a series of blunders under Whisenhunt.

Always got the feeling that coaching staff wanted a more physical corner.

As much as a solid CB is vital to a team, how can anyone think they are on par with a QB? You cannot win in the league w/o a QB. Period.

I like DRC but if it means the Cards have a CHANCE to get a QBOF then its a no brainer. come on....

Great you can without great CB's. You cant win in this league without a good QB. Great CB's dont guarantee you anything. Just ask the guy in Oakland whos trying to leave and Aeneas Williams.
