Well now we have Mike Adams on the field for 40% of the game, and I'm sure he'll excel out on that island.

I think our front office is jacked up.

I have no confidence in them at all, so whatever moves they make could be good, even a blind squirrel etc but long term I predict suckage until they are changed out.

Very rarely did the Steelers defense utilize a 3 CB set, and take out of their OLB....

Adams will not see the field 40% of the time... in 3-4 reciever sets they will play the CBs off and bring down Wilson/Rhodes to play under, dropping someone like Washington and blitzing 6-7...

And you have to think we will sign atleast one other CB for depth so even if Toler/Peterson gets hurt Adams doesn't have to step in and play either..

i think we might as well bend over and give whatever Philly wants already. we all know that's going to happen eventually (see the Fitz situation) and the sooner we take our medicine, the sooner we can try to address (funny, i literally typed AVOID instead of address first... freudlan slip) our other needs that are just as big for the team.

When teams go 3 or 4 wide against you, you better have a 3rd CB on the field...or do you want Adrian Wilson covering a WR?

you act like the chicken little darksiders weren't 100% correct last year... or in 19 of the last 21 years.

Never said that.....I was one screamin about how bad Derek Anderson was and caught hell from most on this board....give him a chance they said.....gotta be better than Leinert they said.....worst Card player I've seen in the 40+ years I've followed the team.

Stout is a Darksider and he's not 100% against this trade.

Apparently Cardinals are easy prey for Eagles. ;)

At least a 'championship' has already been assured with the acquistion of Jeff King. :koolaid:

I'm not against it either, it's one lame Rod Graves move traded for another questionable player.

It's a lateral move plus some picks we'll screw up anyway, it's not about being upset at any one trade, it's about futility.

That's what's being a Cards fan is all about.

I was just saying typically when teams went 3-4 wide against the Steelers you rarely saw them sub in a 3rd CB...

They would simply bring their safties down and pressure the QB to make a quick desicion, while dropping 1 LB....

And we all know Wilson can not guard a light pole, so we may play even more zone and blitz Wilson more off the edge while dropping Washington ...

The bottom line is this season, I would be veryh surprised if we were constantly running 3 CB sets...

Finally I'll close with this.

During Matt Millen's tenure with the Detroit Lions someone there was a darksider too I'm sure and they were RIGHT.... :)

You sure about that with the Steelers, because William Gay saw a lot of the field for them on defense.

We won't be constantly running 3 CB sets but it will be a big part of our defense as more and more teams make 3-4 WRs a big part of their offense. We'll see dime packages too which makes our CB depth (or lack of) even more of a problem.

Horton will be looking for physical CBs that can tackle..

Richard Marshal certainly fits that mold, so does Antonio Cromartie... you have to think they will sign another CB... for those situations...

And because we don't have the outside rushers Pitt does maybe we will have to run more 3 CB sets... in which case, if he hasn't signed already we should agressively pursue Richard Marshal.. imo

Physical CB and Antonio Cromartie don't belong in the same sentence.

I say a 2nd plus a lower pick or nonimpact player is the most Id give up; otherwise tell them to take a hike and go after Orton.
