Bills fan here in Buffalo.
Do you Cards fans have any interest in getting Travis Henry? If so, what would you consider fair value for him?

Give us $10,000,000.00 and we'll take him off your hands for you.

How bout 10,000,000, Sam Adams, Drew Bledsoe, and Henry for a conditional 3rd or 4th round pick and Shawn King. Then I would agree.

i wasn't much interested in doing my homework.
No biggie, but most of the opinions are in that thread. I don't think it was posted as a "do your homework" message, more of a "here you go."

Welcome.

Yeah, I was just trying to help out. I should have put Henry's name in the thread title, so actually I'm the jerk.

Someone on the Bills board mentioned LJ Shelton. I like LJ a lot, but I think that might be a trade I would be willing to do. Draft a RT in round 2-3 and grab Henry with Shelton!

thats what I was thinking.

It's funny reading other boards talking about the cards. It never fails someone always mentions the other message boards and how pitiful they are. They also always seem to be so misinformed on the cards players.

Yeah you go to any board including this one and there are always suggestions for incredibly one sided trades. Nature of the game, we all want to screw the other team.

So you give us Henry and Bledsoe, and we'll give you Fred Wakefield and Josh Scobey! :)

I'd prefer LaMont Jordan to Henry but realistically the asking price will be lower for Henry and we'll have to compete for Jordan so I wouldn't be opposed to just dealing for Henry, even if we get Jordan I want to draft a RB fairly early.

What's Henry's status? Is he signed? Restricted? Unrestricted or what?

In other words, do we have to trade anything for him? Or can we wait for him to become an unrestricted FA?

I think he has a year left on his current deal.

I tend to agree with someone else on this board who said they would rather have Jordan. I think Jordan is gonna give some team an immediate player. He has all the skills of an elite back, his one draw back is work ethic. (Thats a big drawback). He has been clamoring for a starting nod for years now and I cant imagine he wasting that opportunity.

I would take Henry but, to me, a 2nd rounder is a bit steep. He certainly has allt he skills and is a proven runner, but the last few years he has been nicked up quite a bit, is a poor blocker, and has a tendency to fumble the ball. I would take a chance on him but for a 3rd rounder and maybe a Clement, Spikes type player.

Matt, sorry about my rather flippant reply to your thread. We had an article posted on this web-site by Pioneer Press (Viking paper) that they would trade Moss for 4 of our starters, cash, and a high round draft pick. I couldn't resist the temptation to retaliate, even if it was to a different team.

I kinda doubt that Boldin would be available, but Shelton and most assuredly, Jones might be available to go that route. Denny is somewhat of a wild card, so anything is possible.

Travis Henry has one year remaining on his contract. And that final year is VERY cap friendly. (i believe to be less than 500K. if you can believe that) He restructered his original contract a couple years back because he blew all of his original contract money....and the Bills front office took full advantage.

The Bills will wait until they get the best possible offer. If they don't get at least a 3rd rounder, they will keep him, and let him go as a FA the following year.

no offense taken....we had some moron on the Bills board post the idea of a Henry for Jones trade.....but he has since been banned and asked to only post on the Dolphins board.
