Anyone have any updates? I dont even want to sleep until I read something optimistic. He walked off fine so I think he is good but people continued talking about it, should we be worried? I don't know how bad something could be when he just gets up and walks?

Thoughts?

Look at last two pages of the game day thread. He seems in good spirits in locker room, not devastated.

Peterson just posted that he needs prayers though. So we know nothing

I don't think we'll know anything definitive until he has an MRI tomorrow.

It's very common for players with tears to walk off the field.

The part that is concerning is it was a non-contact injury where his cleats got stuck in the grass and the knee twisted to the side.

Typically nothing good ever comes from that. Hopefully at worst it's a partial Mcl as he could be back in time for a conference game.

Starting to sound like maybe an injury but not a season ender? Something that could put him out 2-3 weeks but be ready for the playoffs?

We need that bye week.

My thought was something like a dislocated knee cap but if he's walking around I'm hoping just a meniscus or hyper extension.

The other injury update:

Not real concerned RT @CraigAZSports: Palmer w/@PaulCalvisi, "I'll be fine; got it taped up & we'll get back to work" re: right index finger

Carson Palmer called the win "bittersweet" because of the Mathieu injury. Praying that he is OK.

This. No contact and he immediately went to massage and rub the outside part of his right knee. Certainly hoping for the best.

It didn't look good. I have suffered through two non contact ACL injuries. After the initial pain of the tear, one can walk fine. I am nervous.

Yep.

I fear the worst after watching it several more times. :bang: The way he was off balance & his foot planted at a weird angle doesn't give me positive vibes. I pray it's all good for #32

Same here. I was optimistic until I watched it a few more times, now I'm just worried.

I'm leaning more towards an MCL sprain. He was smiling and walking without a limp in the locker room after the game so it certainly sounds like we may have dodged a bullet on this one.

Fingers crossed he could have 4 weeks rest until we need him if it came to that. Obviously it cant be anything serious for that to work, but a strain and few other players coming back could have the complete opposite impact than injuries did for us in the playoffs last year.
