I don't like the speculation game, but Tyrann has experienced a tear before. He would absolutely know if it felt the same, just like Carson did last year.

I think he knows. That's why he's posting those cryptic tweets. Dont' have a good feeling about this.

Yep. The disgust in the way he ripped his gloves & tape off says he knows it's a good probability he did some damage. I know I knew & I never had done it before. So sad for that kid.

Lets just hope it's a minor sprain/tear, and he can come back for the playoffs.
Exactly. Everyone needs to stop trying to be body language experts and just wait to see what the MRI says. It could very well be something that only requires a couple weeks of rest.

Agreed. I know we're all hoping against hope, but come on folks. We've seen guys go down like that before, and combo those tweets with the doctor saying his knee is loose = dunzo for the season.

I'm now just hoping we can get the 2 seed and Seattle can take care of Carolina for us. I think at home, we can definitely beat Seattle even without HB, but going on the road against that offensive machine in Carolina without him will be incredibly tough.

Have you even looked at his Twitter feed? He has posted 2 things people say are "cryptic" and several other things in between.

Tyrann is not the type to hide his emotions. If it was a tear like he had before, he would have known immediately and it would have been obvious to everyone.

I am so tired of negativity in hopes of positivity around her.e. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I think people are just being realistic. Why get your hopes up for something that likely will kick you in the nuts all over again.

I think he's done and moving on, thinking that we can still win this sucker without him. It'll be tough, but it can be done.

Personally.....my hopes are always up. I'm not going to shake my fist at the universe until we actually know something. Right now...we know he was hurt, he walked off the field, and he is tweeting. That's about it.

when something looks as obvious as this does to me, I'd rather accept and move on, then be pleasantly surprised, as opposed to getting hopes up and getting kicked in the teeth again.

Ok, just to get our minds off this and stop arguing about it - will the roof be open on Sunday?

Here is why I am holding out hope. Normally I would agree with you but when I saw Gronk go down this season there was no doubt he was done with an ACL but it wasn't and he is back so who knows.

I can understand that.

I'm just going to wait instead of saying "OMG HE's out for the year with a devastating injury!!" when we don't have a report from the Cardinals. That just ain't my style.

It looks to me like he hurt himself. How badly.....I have no idea. That's why they invented MRIs. They are a MUCH better diagnostic tool then a bunch of fans on a message board.

If that's the case then I want to punch Arians in the face for keeping the starters out there for garbage time.

Punch a wall then because who the hell are we going to run out there, seriously we already had Johnson out and we are short at CB as if and maybe Arians out of professional courtesy left him in there because players like HB and Peterson wanted to be in there knowing Bradford has to pass and they could take risks for ints with the cushion

So different though... Gronk's was a contact (helmet to the knee) injury which turned out be a bone bruise. HB's was a non-contact injury... and judging by the way he collapsed, it appears to be much worse than that Gronk instance...
But again - until they issue a formal report, let's keep praying for the best. Man... I love Matthieu and this SOOOOOOOO F'n sucks!!!

Ran into Mathieu as he was headed to get MRI this morning. Timing-wise, not sure Arians will have much of an update when he talks at 12:15.

this is a good point. It would PHENOMENAL if it was something like that, but correct me if I'm wrong, I thought Gronk got hurt on a contact injury.

The body is so weird. Shady takes a full force shoulder pad to the knee yesterday. It's a miracle his leg didn't explode and all it is is a sprain.

Then you see plays like Carson last year and other non contact plays where it looks like nothing yet the Ligaments just snap.

Just one of those things man. :(. Get well soon HB!

Tyrann Updates

RT @joshweinfuss: Sources close to Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu told me best-case scenario is that he has a knee sprain… https://t.co/V5IWmMJrf9
