I can’t believe there are so many posts on this thread. Who really cares what they name the Stadium? Is the name of the stadium going to help the team on the field? By having a cool name are the Cards going to play better? The team is thinking about a QB change and there are over 100 posts on the name of the stadium!!!
The important part is they found a sponsor, how much they are paying for that sponsorship, and what the Cardinals are going to do with the money. I wouldn’t care if they played in the Port-O-Jon Stadium if the went 16-0 and won the SB next year.
I am surely glad you dont market or brand anything as a career.
Well, I guess that's why they went with the crappiest name ever.
I will begrudgingly respect their decision in light of almost 8 million a year.

the video prior to the game start hits us with "Protect the Nest"... I think "the Nest" is their suggestion.I just say we call it "The Bird Cage" Cardinals.. Phoenix... it works
7.7 million a year!
20 year $154 million
Shaquille O'neal graduated from LSU in 2000, but earned an online MBA through the University of Phoenix in 2005...
So were back to playing in a "college stadium"?They will take the field at University of Phoenix Stadium.
this news is wretched...
first the rams loss, now this.
bad week for cards fans.
No kidding - UofP must've really wanted the name on the Stadium!
Good point. Man, that is a lot of money. I say, "Good job, Cardinals!"I personally like it. At least it gives the appearance of being a name that would by inference make someone believe it's related to Arizona football. It's not a bank or an oil company or some other company name that is not even remotely related to Arizona.
things must have changed.
Back in '01 i took a 3 credit hr Purchasing Management course at U of P 40th st and I-10.
I had to go to class 2 nights a week.
Our instructor was a retired Honeywell Purchasing manager.
There was an online LIBRARY.
I had to do papers and physically turn them them in.
I had to speak in front of a classroom of actual people in a physical location.
I learned a lot about purchasing in a government and big corporate environment.
lol, loving how fast everyone changed their minds.
