I dont mind it at all. Cornerbacks are supposed to piss people off.

DRC had not been pissing to many people off up to that point.:)
Seems they had been pissing him off.

It is kind of like the defensive line man that has been getting beat all day, his team is loosing big time, and then he gets a sack. He acts like King Kong, rediculous!

Except DRC made a pick 6 that gave his team the lead late in the game.

Other than that, exactly the same as making a sack when the team is losing big time.

No, that doesn't apply to this situation remotely. It wasn't an insignifcant play, it was a game winning, game changing play and he got emotional. It's nothing like that example you drew at all.

Bertrand Berry on the BRR show said that he wanted MORE from DRC. "I dont care if he high steps, I dont care if he crawls, as long as he gets in the End Zone"

Anyways, I respect you, we can agree to disagree but he wasn't celebrating a small, meaningless play in a game that was over. People can rag on him all they want but that play won the game for us essentially.

I dont mind Antrelle Rolles backflips either. Let them be happy they scored. I dont think high stepping is a big deal, he didnt get tackled, didnt fumble, didnt get a penalty. I dont see the issue. Dre Bly is an IDIOT tho!!!

Oh and if you cant have fun at work you need to find a new job.

DRC had a good game including the interception. It's not like he got beat all game long.

It's only a problem when it hurts the team. As I recall he still scored the TD and we didn't even get penalized. Yes the coach is right in telling him its a poor choice, that is the coaches job, but if nothing bad results from it we fans have no real reason to complain.

Defensive players showboat after every freaking play it seems like. WR's get a first down, more showboating again.

I have absolutely NO problem highstepping as long as he makes it into the end zone.

How about Offensive players getting a freaking first down. I guess my only concern is that I am of the opinion you celebrate AFTER making the play, not during. He had to speed it up as an offensive player began to catch up to him. I am less worried about the high stepping and more concerned that this will validate DRC's opinion of himself and he will continue to gamble and whiff in coming weeks.

It could have been worse, we had a certain fan favorite fullback that tackled a player after an interception then got up and flexed his "guns". One of the dumbest celebrations I ever saw.

I don't mind endzone celebrations or a guy celebrating ending a key drive (like blocking a FG or stoning someone at the goal line) as long as it doesn't cross the line and go in to the taunting range. I personally don't think he should have celebrated until the play was over...but thats just me.

As for DRC's high stepping, did anyone here really have a problem when he did the same thing last year against the Rams? I really don't remember that being discussed last year.

Fine - but let them be happy AFTER they score.

I dont think high stepping is a big deal, he didnt get tackled, didnt fumble, didnt get a penalty. I dont see the issue.

When i saw the high-stepping, i was very concerned that he'd get a taunting penalty. On Big Red Rage he even said that he "taunted Owen Daniels a little bit." That is idiotic and selfish.

If the TD had been followed by a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the kickoff, the goal-line stand may never have happened and the Texans could've easily tied and potentially won the game. It didn't happen this time, but with DRC's attitude, it could happen next time, and i have a BIG issue with that.

As far as I understand the rules, and correct me if I am wrong, you cant get called for taunting during a play. Afterwards yes, but as long as the play is in progress no. Like I said, I may be wrong.

DRC was risking the important play, and therefore the whole teams effort, due to his personal preferences. Egoism. Even afterwards after speaking to coaches, he still does not agree with that. That is very wrong and it will cost us something down the road if he keeps up with that. Let's just hope it does not occur at some crucial point of the game. Obviously if he does not listen to coaches in this case, there might easy be other cases that we don't know about where the same occurs. he plays on his own. That shows he sets himself higher than the team, if it's worth risking the game just so he can be on Deion's primetime list.

He is thinking way too much on him self, like in the SB where he went for INT on every single Big Ben pump fake. His desire for INTs basically made that drive work and Big Ben kept pump faking DRC and thereby destroying our Defense, and our historical season....

When DRC learns it's about the team and the games outcome, and not about him, he will be a great player. Right now he is just good, not even close to great.

It's amazing how fans are fine with his attitude. It's fine with one game (his only good play so far, he has been burned every game so far), but what matters is winning the SB, and with players that don't play within the team and listen to coaches, so we can be a unity, that is impossible thing to do.

In the context of him getting beat like a rented mule a few games this season, I don't think it's all that bad.

He's a kid, he shouldn't do it, that would be optimum but in the modern world this is done and although I understand those who don't like it, just thinking about the type of pressure he's under, heck celebrating the winning play like that isn't all that bad.

In an ideal world for his OWN good, he should have more class.

I was actually referring to his season (DRC) up to that point (I know I didn't spell it out). Like I have said I am old school and would rather see the celebrating done on the sideline.

I'd rather he celebrate excessively after he score, but I can't be mad at DRC at all.

Did he score?

Yes.

Did he get stripped or whistled for an excessive celebration?

No.

So, why are we still talking about this? He freaking high stepped into the endzone and people are acting like he disrespected their family name. Good lord, uptight much? Sounds like people are just looking for reasons to get pissed off at DRC now. HOW DARE HE CELEBRATE while making a game winning play!!! It almost looked like he was *GASP* HAVING FUN!?!?!?! That's not allowed here, I mean this is the No Fun League after all!

Fun after the play league, not during the play. It's professional sport and he should celebrate after the play. Coach Whiz seem to agree with that.....

I've never been a big fan of the show boating but it is what it is. Here's where I have the problem though. If DRC is gonna go Sanders on us, he had better deserve to do so. After getting burned as often as he has this season, I think it might be a little more prudent to hold off on the show boating until he put together a string of great games first. I would even settle for a string of just good games.

Otherwise, he kind of comes off like a punk. If you're gonna talk the talk, you better walk the walk. One great play aint walkin the walk. JMHO
