It will be interesting if indeed, Utah makes the move.

I've heard that one can get to football games in Waco by boat. Sadly, I'm sure it's nothing like the iconic and beautiful "sailgating" scene for UW games on the shores of Lake Washington.I think long term this is bad for the Arizona schools.
But enjoy Lubbock, Morgantown, Ames, Manhattan (not the good one) and Waco.
Hopefully more games start before 8 PM now!I think long term this is bad for the Arizona schools.

I'd prefer to stay in the PAC, provided the numbers were close. A move to the Big 12 would be softened with more PAC teams along for the ride. I think you are discounting the impact of losing a link to CA. UofA has historically pulled a lot of hoops recruits out of CA and the Pacific Northwe
This coming from someone who is clueless about the entire thing. You were ragging on us for wanting the UofA to leave the Pac-12 for the Big-12, saying it would not be beneficial. You know nothing about the internal conversations between presidents. Stop pretending that you do.
I get the impression that leading PAC 12 presidents is like herding cats. And for all the talk about what a bad hand GK was dealt, Yormark had challenges too. He did a heckuva job.

Yormark has several advantages:And for all the talk about what a bad hand GK was dealt, Yormark had challenges too. He did a heckuva job.

I don't disagree, although for 2) he went out and grabbed the deal before he had to. He just outperformed and outfoxed Kliavkoff - badly.Yormark has several advantages:
1) Being in the middle/eastern part of the country, the available candidates were greater
2) Timing - he caught a media deal before the values started to decline, also taking away slots
3) No one left in the Big 12 except maybe Kansas is a candidate to go to the B1G or SEC. The Pac has schools that can realistically aspire to the B1G
No argument there - although how much the Pac12 Presidents were apart of the rejection of the ESPN deal, is unknown.I don't disagree, although for 2) he went out and grabbed the deal before he had to. He just outperformed and outfoxed Kliavkoff - badly.

Keep believing that. Like I said, you are clueless. I wonder when you will change your mind on everything you said in the past 24 hours?Without ASU and Utah it would not have been a good move by UofA.
I really hope the PAC can figure something out with guaranteed money at least as the Big 12 without streaming in the next day or so.
The BIG 10 doesn't look like it is able to add Oregon and Washington under the current TV deals.
So remaining in the Pac would be:
Wash
Oregon
OSU
WSU
Stanford
Cal
ASU
UA
Utah
If they can add
SDSU
SMU
Fresno State???
then I would still be happy with the conference. I am thinking Oregon and Wash may try to pull something off to keep the conference together.
Should’ve stayed in the Oregon/UW/Bay Area-less Pac and enjoyed Pullman, Laramie, Las Cruces, Albuquerque and Fort Collins!I think long term this is bad for the Arizona schools.

A group of presidents (UC schools, Stanford, USC, ASU, UW) rejected expansion into the Big12 meanwhile all of them (sans ASU) were simultaneously maneuvering to get into the Big 10. Crow the only dope who thought he was actually allied with those schools. Robbins once LA schools left knew it was over and wisely started the process to go to Big 12 since it was the only life raft. GK got played big timeNo argument there - although how much the Pac12 Presidents were apart of the rejection of the ESPN deal, is unknown.
They also had a chance to get Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech (After Texas A&M declined) a dozen years ago.A group of presidents (UC schools, Stanford, USC, ASU, UW) rejected expansion into the Big12 meanwhile all of them (sans ASU) were simultaneously maneuvering to get into the Big 10. GK not forcing/selling the snobby coastal schools + ASU to take KU, TCU, etc was the end of the conference.
Keep believing that. Like I said, you are clueless. I wonder when you will change your mind on everything you said in the past 24 hours?
Considering that UofA has been talking to Yormark for months, this is BS. The Big-12 would gladly take UofA on its own. You really need to stop lying to yourself. Just be happy that you’re staying in a big boy conference instead of being relegated to the future G5 conference.UofA couldn't leave the PAC without ASU.
