Except that I'm a Suns fan. See, he posted with a fabricated quote from me.
yeah true. and I know that btw. but I'm trying to point out that there's no reason to talk kings bball on here unless the suns are playing them. they are completely irrevlevant at the time.

We got screwed because of the officials. I think we win the next two if we get fair officiating. Best team in the NBA!

Uh, no. Our bench, and specifically Jordan (floor leader), has been non-existent and instead of maintaining, getting or extending leads as they usually do, they are digging holes for the starters to get out of.

That is why we (barely) lost the two games in Utah. The bench must step up.

Officials have nothing to do with it.

Like I said not surprised at all seeing Utah take both these games, this series could easily go 7. Home court in this series could easily be the difference as Utah is a totally different team on the road, they are very tough at home clearly having the best HC record in all of the NBA.

The pressure is on Utah to steal a game in LA. The Lakers are capable of doing that and I think the players believe it. However, does Utah? That team plays horrid on the road and everybody (including the players) knows that. I am not so sure in a game 7 if Utah would be confident.

Utah is tough though. This is a good series.

I respectfully disagree. The pressure is 100% on the Lakers in Game 5. If the Lakers drop game 5, they're out of the playoffs, plain and simple. The Lakers will not win Game 6 in Utah either way (in my opinion) so Game 5 is an elimination Game. The Pressure will hit Utah in Game 7 at staples.

I'm predicting a Laker win in game 5, Utah will win game 6, and the Lakers win Game 7 in a blow out. If Utah steals Game 5, Utah wins the series in 6 games.

I have confidence the Lakers can win a game 6 in Utah. They've won there before and even in the most recent contests, theyve battled back and nearly pulled those games out (battling turnovers and poor shooting from the charity stripe also Kobe battling his back spasm problem). Ive got to believe that Phil and this team will get over that hump again and break thru in game 6 which will be Utah's death/demise if the Lakers win game 5.

I should clarify a bit.

If the Lakers win Game 5, then yes, I think they could win in Utah Game 6. I would still say Utah would most likely win, but if the Lakers took game 6 as a close out game, I wouldn't be that surprised. If however, they manage to lose game 5, I don't think they can keep the season alive in Utah facing elimination. Hopefully, they just win on Wednesday, and we never have to see that Scenario.

Portland is going to scare me...Lakers can't win up there and with Olden, they could get scary good.

Nooch and Portland are going to be very tough going forward. I hope Bynum recovers.

Oden. Its going to be interesting to see how Oden does. I am anxious to see if this kids a bust or if he's for real. My prediction is he'll be solid, but not amazing.

just a thought, I haven't seen a window outside of the Spurs last for more than 3 years. NO, Utah and Portland and any other FOTM will have to get the right guys to sign for below market like the Puss have with Gonosebli and Duncan to keep these deep teams together. In 2005 the Suns were one of the lowest payrolls in the NBA, when you win people look to get paid. Notice I said the right guys because you can also sign the wrong guys like the Suns did and good contracts turn to crap.

Solid is pretty huge given the state of the center position in the NBA.

the west has a lot of good teams currently. granted some must rebuild somewhat. but the jazz, hornets, portland, ect look solid for the long haul. although at some point the blazers have to break through in making the playoffs. maybe next year is the time.

as far as the topic at hand. I have no clue what will happen. I think a road team is going to win in this series. for some reason I have that feeling. obviously the one that does will probably have the inside track at winning. but anything can happen here. I really like all of these playoff series currently. even the detroit/orlando one is still competitive.

Looks like The Jazz are keeping their composure. Kobe is hitting his shots but he is also letting his man score the first 8 points. 3 dunks and one lay-up.

Seriously?
It wasn't just a case of Kobe drawing attention to himself huh?
Honestly? I think you are right. Do you remember the last second shot at the buzzer before half-time? Did you she his mobility during his celebration? I questioned his injury from that point on.

Lakers up 61-54 at the half. Lakers shooting 55% with 6/9 3 pointers, Jazz shooting 53% with 3/6 3 pointers.

Both teams have made a lot of turnovers though. The Lakers have made 11 turnovers for 19 Jazz points, the Jazz 14 turnovers for 20 Laker points.
