Here are the Phoenix parts it is from Jan 7th

After learning he was traded to Phoenix, current Skipper player Milos Vujanic said: "I only heard I got traded, I don't have any special commentary. There's still a lot of time to think about it. I know it's a young team and that the owner is making it that, and I think that'll work for me. In any case, my contract with Skipper runs for another year, but when the time comes, I'll think about the NBA in a more contrete manner."

Q. Phoneix got Eisley, and you're quite frankly better than him. Charile Ward will likely get released, does that mean you'd be the likely starting PG?

A. "Eisley's contract runs through another couple of years and Ward might not be there within a couple of days. In any case, it'll be a young team, and I hope a healthy environment, and what I'm especially looking forward to, PT. Actually playing is what's most important to me."

Q. Did you rehab your injury and when do you expect to be back on court?

A. Almost two months ago, I strained my left thigh muscle, and when I should've stopped and let it heal, I didn't. Instead, I played through it and only made matters worse. It's nothing serious, but when I make certain movements, I feel pain. I had a talk with the team and decided to pause for 10 days so I could heal. I feel better, and I think I'll be able to play soon, since we have an important game vs Panathainikos coming up."[/

Maybe he really doesn't want to come over here for another year and half. I don't know why he wouldn't--the NBA is where the money is, and if he's as good as everyone says, he'd definitely get PT, which he says he values most.

From that it sounds like his contract with Skipper Bologna runs through next season.

IMO it would be fun to watch Him and Barbosa battleing it out for playing time.

I heard the buyout was 800,00, but on the radio I heard it had actually been upped to 1.5million. Which would mean he would have to throw out a good chunk of cash.

The Suns can only give what, 300k towards a buyout?

Vujanic would have to pay a good amount of cash to come over.

We do have cap room, so, if we want to use it for this purpose, we can give him a contract large enough to cover his buyout.

It sounds like he won't come unless he is sure to play. With Barbosa and Eisley under contract, he would be wise to wait. Once Eisley goes, then I'm sure he will see the light.

Hell, if he can’t beat out Eisley for playing time, I don’t want him.

I'd even prefer that he stays one more year in Europe. Ginobili played more years there too. This makes you better battle tested as the leader of a good team. It'll be very useful experience for his future NBA career.

It’s better to play there than to ride the bench here, but if he can play here, that’s the best kind of battle testing.

It's not entirely the same! If you are the best, the true leader on a team like Manu was in Europe, you develop different skills and mindset too, than when you are just the 3rd or 5th option trying to fit in though playing significant min. So, there are pros and cons for both ways. Not so clear cut like that.

Gee, hasn't he already done that?

Not quite in the same way Ginobili did, I think. Vujanic is just in his first year with an elite team and not quite the leader of that team yet as Manu was for his, and for a lot longer time also.

He jumped from being a great prospect to being a great player very recently. I don't mind him getting used to being a marked man. It is good preparation.

"U Evroligi igraju dobro, imaju dve vrlo znaèajne pobede, u Rimu, i protiv Barselone u Beogradu.

First paragraph: I am playing in Skiper now. I heard that I was traded to Phx but now I am playing for Skiper and that is what I am thinking about now. I have a contarct for this year with Skiper, after that who knows. Phx is a young team and that is what I like.

2nd: I can be proud that I was involved in a trade with the names of some players that were traded. We all know who Marbury is and Penny. We will se what happens throughout the season and then decide at the end what I will do and what they will want from me.

3rd: They are telling him that he is better that Eisley and that Ward's contratc expires at the end of the season. He said that basically it is a young team again and that the most important thing to him are the minutes and that he plays.

Everything else he talks about Partizan, team that he played before and Olympics in Athen. That is it

Thank you very much to the translators.

Perhaps I am over thinking this, but as far as contract size goes wouldn't it be better to get him here sooner than later? That is assuming that he keeps improving. As it stands, if they want him here next year it is likely going to cost them a good chunk of that valuable salary cap space they just cleared.

Exactly! Bodiroga kept staying in Europe for "one more year" and he was making so much money he simply didn't want to give it up for a rookie contract.

He needs to understand or have someone explain to him that if he does not come over next year the suns may pick up another starting point guard and then he will never have the chance.

In order for him and the suns to be a good team together, it will take a year +, he needs to get here and play to get that process going.

But since he was a second round pick, and a 2003 pick, not 2004, aren't we not bound by rookie contract rules?

I was under the impression that there really weren't any rookie contract rules for second-round draft picks.

Recruiting influence

Cabarkapa may play a part in obtaining one of the Suns' new acquisitions, Yugoslavian point guard Milos Vujanic. The friends spoke after the Suns received Vujanic's rights from the Knicks. Vujanic, who is playing in Italy, told European reporters that he wants to play for Phoenix next season.

That's correct.

There isn't such a salary scale for 2nd rounders like for 1st round picks.
You can use either your cap room or your exceptions for signing of 2nd round picks.
