Kurt isnt going to any of these others team. He's not dumb. He loves to throw the football and he loves his WRs.. Why would he go to places where the receivers arent even close to the level that AZ has?

Well, he specificially said NFCW team. It sure as hell aint Seattle, which leaves STL and SF.

maybe Kurt's trying to drive up the price. He said he was underpaid the last few seasons. Maybe he is trying to recoup money by wanting $14-16 mil. Still think he plays here or retires and I think the Boldin situation will be a factor.

Let the 9ers have him. Seriously.

Actually, I think that it is the Rams. He can go back to where he is beloved. I'm sure he would sell tickets over there.

Kurt without Fitz/Boldin/Breaston will look like Brett Favre did last year.

Yup, I seriously don't see the Rams really wanting to spend that kind of $$$$. They're in a rebuilding cycle. I know they just cut Trent Green and all, but bringing back Warner, at what 12M? It just doesn't make any sense.

Kerry Collins has just re-signed with the Titans for two years (15M) 8.5 guaranteed.

That's the marketplace addressing 37/38 year old QBs coming off a good year.

Cards offer of 20 million seems both fair and sensible.

now why would he do that other than going back to where he started it all. If he does go back to STL for more $$$ his comments about wanting to win a championship meant nothing!!!

It wouldn't be the first time.....

Do you think God really cares if you win a championship? I don't think he does.

It would put butts in the seats and that is something the Lambs need right now.

Offer him 6.5M. Give him even less than the market wants. He has publically stated that he wants to be in AZ or retire. That lowers his value.

Well, that would certainly be "old school" Cardinals. Insult the player and lowball them.

That's not realistic. Collins didn't just lead Tenn. to the SB.

He led them to that great regular season..... Maybe not worth as much as the Super Bowl, but Collins had much more leverage than Warner has.

I would love for it to be the Rams and I bet they would throw the bank at him. I really think it is time to move on. I am sure the Cardinals have had many discussions about whether or not they think Leinart can take over and if they think he can then goodbye Kurt. The Cardinals have been known to be stupid but they can't be stupid enough to pay this guy that much money.

If the Market value is 8.5, offering 6.5 isn't anymore insulting than Warner suggesting he is worth 14-16.

I saw a clip on NFL Network where they quoted Warner's statements from the Dan Patrick Show. Warner stated, "My whole goal is to be compensated fairly for what I have done."

Surely, surely, Warner and his agent have to know that is not how it works. You will be paid, based upon what you are expected to do in the future.

So that's where the discrepancy lays. Honestly, does anyone expect Warner to repeat the year he just had?

Boy, nothing would show us turning a corner better than slapping the main reason we got to the super bowl in the face with a joke of an offer.

Kurt made over $1 million in bonuses for winning the NFC, right? He has already been compensated for what he's done.

Whisenhunt is the main reason we made the Superbowl, not Kurt Warner.

Maybe you don't think so. But, that would be a minority opinion. And, an opinion quite likely completely absent among his teammates. Bascially, you'd be saying he was either not as important, or as good, as Kerry Collins. Which is completely absurd.

If you say so....

Two independent salary cap experts placed Warner's value between 6 and 10M per.

Counter?

He led them to division title, best record in NFL with Justin Gage as their best receiver. He also played in a tough division. I think we pay Warner a tad higher than Collins, but Collins did set the lower limit. If I remember correctly, Collins was going to wait for Warner's contract to gauge his value.

They would say he should get a little more than Collins. I don't doubt it for a second.

BTW, personally, I don't really care what amount any of our guys sign for as long as they as happy with it and ready to kick butt next year. Once Kurt signs a deal, here or elsewhere, I'm no longer worried about it.
