Listening to local sports radio yesterday (Phoenix) callers were given the opportunity to play Rod Graves (the Card's GM not the black dude from Family Guy).

Anyway the callers we're suggesting things such as; "Offer Warner a 1 year (which he won't take)." or "Next year will be time to see if Matt's our future."

I know to many of you I'm preaching to the choir but I'd like to make this point.

We are #1 in the NFL in points per game at 28.6

How much is that worth??? The Cards need to do whatever it takes to keep this unit together. It seems the perrineal winners, e.g. Patriots figure out a way to keep key players around and often pick up a guy here and there to help.

Re-sign Warner, figure out a way to placate Boldin and let's have some fun. Let's appreciate what we have for once as it's been SO bad in the past.

It's fun to watch an offense rack up the points, but as everyone knows, defense wins championships. If we want to make a legitimate run at he Super Bowl we need to shore up our defense. I just can't see the Cards spending another 8 or 9 million on Boldin plus whatever Warner will make with a new contract (6 or 7 million?). I think that would be too much of the cap going to the offense. If we trade Boldin for a 1st and a 3rd we could really solidify the defense with a solid draft.

Don't overlook this year's draft. DRC, Campbell, and Iwebema should really improve the defense next season. So would some better coaching. Maybe we do have enough cap dollars for the offense.
