Was it me or did Janet Jackson's breast pop out during halftime?

Aren't CBS and MTV under the same corporate umbrella. If so, makes that statement nothing but puff. I have a hard time believing that a costume designed with a tear away breast plate and a strategic star pastie wasn't meant to be torn away. That's sho biz. :D

There is a star pastie
Jerry Jones always finds a way to get attention for Team Felon.

Note - I caught up with the game on TIVO and (as usual) fast-forwarded through the halftime fluff. I didn't know about Janet Jackson (same initials as Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson - I tell you, there's a conspiracy!) until this morning.

Janet is back in the News. PR to the max and I ain't offended.

and if you listen to the words of the song in the backround he's saying "I'll have you naked by the end of this song."

I watched the monstrosity that was the halftime show as it happened and I missed the whole flashing thing at the time and didn't hear about it until this morning.

All in all, I think that was the worst excuse for halftime show I've ever seen. To me, all it was a bunch of noise and lots of lights...two people with marginal - and that's being generous - musical talent (JJ and Justin) and two people with none (P. Diddy and Kid Rock). They shoulda just brought back Aerosmith. At least they can actually PLAY their instruments!

Dude, take it from another musician, Kid Rock is insanely talented. You may not like his style of music, but the man can do everything and play everything on that stage. And if you like Aerosmith I hate to say it but he sings Steven Tyler better than Tyler does these days!

I like me some boobies, and I like weird old peircings with bizarre metal starts behind them, and all that, BUT:

Im SO sick and tired of celebrities trying to upstage one another with idiotic "erotic" things while in the national spotlight. The Madonna Britney "kiss" and this "costume malfunction" are a total joke.

I aint offended, and I'm not worried about the children. What I propose is an immediate boycott of all all artists who see fit to use some purported allure of sexual misconduct to propel their fledgling careers back into the spotlight.

Its pathetic, and the fact that America wastes so much time talking about it and giving them the press they so desperately crave speaks VOLUMES about where this country's collective head is at.

LAME. top to bottom, LAME.

I actually kinda like Kid Rock...just for being his kinda white-trash self and not trying to hide it or apologize for it...though I wouldn't go as far as to call him "insanely talented." Someone like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, Neil Peart, John Bonham, Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson, or even Prince is insanely talented. Kid Rock isn't close to being in their their league. And "Bawitabaw" (or whatever the hell he calls it) is nothing but noisy gibberish. I know he has better stuff...it woulda been nice to hear it. I'd rather hear him actually play one of his songs beginning to end and actually sing it, rather then just scream incomprehensibly. The whole performance was awful...but I certainly don't put the blame for that on him.

And he has a long way to go to be anything remotely close to Steven Tyler. I used to like Aerosmith...about 20 years ago...before they turned into MTV-darling popsters. Now I think the stuff they do sucks. But Joe Perry is still cool and he plays a mean guitar. Steven Tyler is still cool, even if he is writing pap these days. His body of work earns him a pass on that in my book.

I liked the halftime show - I thought it had a nice mix of everthing.

Till the breast thing happened... I guess I'm getting old - but it really wasn't necessary to bring it into my living room while family is watching. I'm kinda disapointed that JJ needs to do something like that to get attention before her new record.

It does make Taglibue look like a bum where 2 days ago he was bashing players that do stunts in the end zone.

though its kinda funny that the JJ moment upstage the lingere bowl!

I happened to lose all respect (what very little I had for this trash) when he apparently slit a hole in an Americal flag and wore it as a poncho for the beginning of his halftime 'show'. What a piece of garbage. I seriously wouldn't mind if he took a nose dive off a bridge. I cannot and will not abide people disrespecting my country and its symbols all in the name of 'showbiz' and 'trying to look cool' or 'rebellious'.

Same thing with Madonna. Used to think she was talented...now I hate her guts. Damn her and her trashy American Pie remake.

The pre-game shows and the half-time shows are a complete waste of energy.
Show highlights from the year, statistical leaders, give out the MVP, COY, ROY, awards at halftime. Anything but Justin Freaking Timberlake and Co.

I agree. I didn't like the halftime show. I did like the ***** thing. I have waiting along time to see those *******. But like people said there is a place and a time for everything. The Superbowl where millions of little kids were watching. I didn't like that. I don't like all the lip syncing either. Though it's better than hearing steven tyler. He could not carry a note to save his life. Also what everhappend to that streaker that came on the field when they were about to kick off in the third quarter. That is why they were delayed.?

I am not concerned at all that one boob being shown at about 200 yards off is going to corrupt all the children but what is really sad is the total contrived nature of the whole thing followed by the cheesy lie that it wasn't intentional.

How with all that is happening with her brother could she possibly think that was the right thing to do?

Our single biggest international televised moment has all that stuff going on being flung out there to the world and we wonder why people choose blowing us up as a life mission.

Are you serious? It is only a symbol. He didn't mean it to be offensive and he certainly didnt disrespect anything.

It is not the act of him wearing a piece of cloth it is his intentions, and his intentions were not to disrespect "YOUR" country, but quite the opposite.

I assume you would be just as pissed if he wore an actual american flag shirt? Or was it because it was the flag?

How about the hundreds of flags that are burned daily by the governemnt in attempt to get rid of worn or tattered ones.? Is that offensive as well?

We didn't need to see that. Janet looks horrible. And that boob is not exactly perky.
