Got to listen to the Falcons and Cowboys while driving through Utah/Arizona and then caught the last of the Cards' win at a sports book in Vegas (including highlights from earlier in the game).

So nice to have football back and be 2-0.

Kyler Murray: It’s a blessing to be able to move fast

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray posted 544 rushing yards during his rookie season, but it looks like he’ll be pushing past that total well before the 2020 season comes to an end.

Murray has posted 158 yards on the ground through the first two weeks of the regular season and he’s showing a willingness to run that goes beyond what he displayed in 2019. Murray ran eight times for 67 yards in Sunday’s 30-15 win over Washington and scored on runs of 14 and 21 yards.

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said “that was a part of his game he was feeling out” as a rookie and it’s one that Murray sounds quite comfortable with at this point.

“It’s an extension of the run game, and really our offense in general,” Murray said, via the team’s website. “When I can break the pocket or read, and score, that’s the dynamic we have in this offense because I’m able to move. It’s a blessing to be able to move fast.”

The Cardinals posted 438 yards overall on Sunday, but Murray said the team “left a lot out there” over the course of the afternoon. Should they find a way to pick that up, the Cardinals will be in the thick of the NFC playoff race this year.

PFF is hilarious trash right now. After two games they have Murray #19 behind guys like Daniel Jones and Kirk Cousins.

That Hopkins guy can't hold a candle to Chase Claypool. Same with Davante Adams

That's cool... and PFF also said:
  • Haason Reddick has certainly seemed to have found a home at outside linebacker. He finished with the highest PFF grade on the defense Sunday at 84.6, doing a stellar job stopping the run and pressuring the quarterback while holding up in coverage.

But then they said:
  • Kyler Murray was given an overall grade of 67.4, but Pro Football Focus was not as enamored with Murray's rushing performance as everyone else, as he was given just a 66.2 rushing grade despite averaging 8.4 yards per carry and scoring two touchdowns on the ground.
WTF?!

I wonder if they punished him for running when he had Hopkins open downfield? at 2:32

And also we have to realize (even if I'm no PFF fan) our offense isnt designed to excel in PFF.

We throw lots of short passes and then throw deep (which can be hit or miss). Kyler doesnt really throw those tight window piercing the defense throws yet. He can do it, but we dont do that consistently on our offense.

Not sure about that rushing grade though.

Also at 3:02 he takes the easier/open throw to Fitz.

However, Dan has a step on Collins. If Kyler throws it over Dan's right shoulder/away from the safety its a TD.

I think he'll start attempting those type of throws in times as he gets comfortable. Now...just take the 1st down plays.

He obviously underthrew Andy. However, if not for that safety having 4.35 speed...It probably still would have went for a TD. Great recover. If thats Collins then Andy gets it and was still running.
