Great talent on defense, and solid offensive line wasted by inability of management to find a quarterback to replace Stanton -- so sad. Feel bad for Fitzgerald, though by now he'd probably be happy to pull a Q

Negative. Couldn't be prouder of our boys.

Every year BA & Moore roam our sidelines is a gift. I am proud to wear my jersey.

Yeah cause there's just a ton of really good QB sitting at home 13 games into the season

Team overachieved all year

If finding a playoff level QB late in the season was easy to do, every team would do it. Most teams find it hard to replace their starting quarterback no matter when it happens. It's just not an easy thing to do and then to have to do it a second time, late in the season, is almost impossible. I have to believe there was someone around that was better than Lindley but after all the holes these guys had to fill, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt on this one. So, not wasted. For me, it was a great season with a disappointing close but I lay that at the feet of fate, not the front office.

I don't see how anyone can cal an 11-5 year and playoff berth a wasted year. Injuries decimated this team this year.

Because the team was so good (most talent since I've been watching them), not managing QB personnel is a cardinal sin (no pun intended), and yes, a wasted year. With the everchanging personnel due to FA and the like, we will have a hard time duplicating our efforts this year. I don't care about 11-5, and it means nothing if you can't win in the playoffs - NOTHING!

Huh? And exactly what QB could the have picked up? Charlie Batch is the only QB who knows this offense and he's 40 and not football ready. Unfortunate injuries is what happened not management.
We are an 11-5 team with a practice squad QB in the playoffs with our SECOND YEAR COACH, holy cow that's amazing! If we were the Pats they'd be praising Billecek on how wonderful he is for making the playoffs with his coaching skills blech puke
Im excited to see what happens next

Ya butler was totally the best punter available. He played great all year. Ginn too. Can't ever replace a punt returner. Let's be real guys. Some serious mistakes were made this year and in not even talking about Lindley.

It's incumbent on management fo find a better backup before Stanton goes down (you do it the moment Palmer gets injured) and at least you have more options than a Lindley.

I was impressed with Stanton, who's clearly as capable of Palmer, but neither is the QB of the future, so this should be addressed early in the draft this year. Was particularly disappointed in management when we didn't pick up Carr or Bridgewater when we had the shot in the last draft.

I'm more upset at them not bringing in a better punting option when Zastudil went down rather than bringing in Lindley. I wouldn't call it a wasted year, though.

Some people haven't been watching Cardinals football very long. This is the best managed, best coached team I've seen in modern memory and I've been a fan since '65'. I too am excited to see what's in store for this team and I'm nothing but proud. They will be a contender next year and I'll be behind them. 5 and 11 before. 11 and 5 (6) now.

Yes it was a wasted year we went into the playoffs with a whimper and lost to possibly one of the worst playoff teams of all time except for maybe us.

I take nothing very good out of this year other than our refusal to address the QBOTF as a continuing and ongoing forever saga.

We need the QBOTF first and foremost because counting on Palmer to be both healthy enough and good enough was THE mistake of the year.

I thought it was almost as big of a drop from Palmer to Stanton as it is from Stanton to Lindley. He was a very good in-game backup but once teams had a week to prepare for Drew it was a completely different story. And this isn't the NFL of the 80's, teams don't have a quality backup just waiting for the chance to take the field. For the most part, if you're a decent NFL caliber quarterback, you're already starting or being groomed for that spot.

Stanton IS NOT a starting caliber QB. I don't care what color glasses you are wearing.

The key isn't the backups, very few teams have really good ones, good enough to finish the year almost no one has that.

The key is the first string version you field and when it's Carson Palmer then you've made your first mistake.

They gambled he'd both be good enough and healthy enough and they lost and he's just getting too old IMO.

He's good enough but he's not young enough IMO.

???? Dude had two unlucky bounces this year. He played all 16 last year and probably has a good shot of doing it again next year.

Ya we won 11 games and we have a good coaching staff but they sure have flaws and so does Keim. Of course no one is perfect but these flaws caused the failure this game.

We can't sit here and be happy about winning 11 games and getting smoked by a 7 win team in playoffs. I hope our coaches and gm can learn from these mistakes and be prepared for next year. It's hard to be an az fan.

Whatever he went down nearly untouched.

If you want to count on that go ahead I woudn't and if the team does they are fools.

I had no problem starting him but if he's here then you must have your QBOTF also on the team and I said that LAST YEAR.

Low and behold it wasn't the interceptions that got him but I also said he was too old to count on making it through a year.

It would be fine to have him as the QB and then have his heir on the team and make him beat his future heir out and keep him on the bench, it was not fine to try and roll with just him.

Playoff experience is never wasted. Going 10-6 last year taught them one thing and going 11-5 taught them another. Playoff experience is necessary.

Disagree that closing just means you lose. Either learn or suck.

I think K this coaching staff and team had a bunch of learners.

We just didn't have the horses. I said it before, when Palmer went down it was over. Stanton going down is irrelevant, when Palmer went down we were done.
