In last Monday's press conference Coach Whiz said that we are really close to winning and being a good team as we have lost 3 games by a total of only 8 points.
What will Coach Whiz say tomorrow and will our "crack" press core continue to kiss his butt and not ask any tough questions????

This team continues to be an embarrassment.

We are really close to getting some changes made on this team at least I hope we are.

I have this mental picture of a bunsen burner under some management chairs that makes all this tolerable at the moment, it they get out of this year being this bad and keep their jobs it'll be complete despair time.

I think he'll say we won the last three quarters by a score of 10-6, and that means "we're really, REALLY close"!!!

I hope "we're really close" to firing the coaching staff and replacing the GM and bring in some experienced leader that do not give a damn about the players feelings. This is a business to be a winner.

...to Andrew Luck, that is.

Beat me to the punch. Damn.

We are really close to our future ILB to play next to Daryl:

Also, our compliment to beanie:

Don't forget the #2 WR we have been searching for:

Hell, he would probably the best offensive coordinator on our team as well.

I'm not right on everything that is Cardinal related, but I'm proud to say that I never wavered in my support of Whisenhunt. Everyone has their opinion, but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay toooooooooooooo maaaaaaaaaaaaaaany people on this board have crow to eat. As a long, long, long-time Cardinal fan, him taking us to a SB means I was going to give him at least 5 years to recover from losing Warner.

You are 100 percent wrong. KW was coaching himself out of a job. When he finally ate some crow himself, realized that being stiff necked and stupid in sticking to his guns, and finally changed some personnel and changed his system up, we FINALLY started to get it together. KW had to admit he was wrong and change. He did that, so now he gets credit for turning it around. He still gets the blame for not doing it earlier.

this...been a Cardinal fan since forever and I would give Whis a decade for taking us to the Super Bowl. Some say it was all Warner...Ya' Right? Guess most don't know or care to remember how many bad seasons the Cards had before Whis took them to the Super Bowl. That feat alone required much more than Warner with the state this franchise had been in.

I was thinking the same thing. Our defensive turn around was started by replacing Porter with Acho and allowing Schofield to play more. It was obvious from afar, but Whis was hesitant to make these changes earlier.

What were the changes he made? It looks he did as the are winning now, but what were they?

Sorry Stout, but I am NEVER, EVER 100% wrong. I don't see where Whiz ate any crow. When he felt that certain players were ready, he made changes. The bottom line is that this team NEVER quit on him. The only crow to be eaten are by the naysayers calling for Whiz's head the past year. I listen to the NFL radio channel quite frequently. During the last year, I've heard 3-4 fans call in to criticize Whiz & some were demanding he be fired. The announcers have always been incredulous. Their responses went kind of like this: Here's a Coach, who has taken a franchise that has been a HUGE loser for half a century to a SB, won 4 playoff games in 2 years & you want to FIRE him??????? Are you nuts. One of the announcers was Gannon. the other his sidekick. They both were adamant that Whisenhunt was one of the top 5 coaches in the NFL. Now that is only their opinion, but I've heard numerous knowledgeable football people like Gil Brandt say the same thing. I've been following this mess of a franchise since 1963. You can count the good Bidwill decisions on 1 hand. Hiring Whisenhunt is at the top of the list.

A top 5 coach in the NFL ummm... No freaking way!!!!
he's right there. In the NFC I'd rank them:
McCarthy, Coughlin, Payton, Reid. Whiz and Mike Smith are in the mix with Reid.
In the AFC there's only Belichick clearly ahead of him.
John Harbaugh hasn't won anything or been to the SB. Neither has Ryan. Tomlin stepped into the perfect situation and I like him but I think it would have been harder for him to fail than succeed.

It's all subjective but when you factor in the Bidwill's and Rod Graves compared to the other franchises, it helps Whiz's case immensely.

I'd say both Harbaughs are better coaches. As well as Tomlin, and the Steelers front office agreed

that said, I have always supported Whiz, I had absolute faith in the hiring of Horton. I knew this year would be a rebuilding year, I even said to be patient this season on another forum before finding this one, but I did think we had the talent, except at tackle. I was wrong about the WRs though...

but I think Horton was a phenomenal hire. First good DC I can remember here. I don't like our OC though. And we can't forget about our 1st superbowl ever, first championship game since the 40s in Chicago. Now he has the win record for the franchise. The guy has earned some faith

I can't imagine why any fan would be upset with the coaching while the Cardinals were losing 15 of 18 games including 7 straight losses in 2010 and 6 straight in 2011 either blowing leads or getting blown out in the process and having a parade of QBs that looked like they couldn't play for an NAIA team.
