Panthers looking for a place to practice today (Friday) due to weather. Convention center where they normally go is booked. I like that this is throwing them out of their routine.

Man, that's cool. If our travel plans don't get postponed, and if the field's passable, the weather may actually work out to our advantage.

Crazy, they are making this sound like the mother of all storms hitting there today/tommorrow, airport closed, etc.

Not sure how the Cards are supposed to get in tommorrow.

Last night Michael said the charter was taking off right after the pep rally at the airport. Which sounded like a 10 to 11am take-off. Factor in the flight time and time change... I think they're hoping to land in Charlotte after the storm has passed.

They could always fly the team in to an airport outside the storm and bus them in, not ideal but very doable. Columbia, SC is under 2 hours from Charlotte and it isn't getting slammed with weather.

CNN has a report from the stadium. The reporter was standing in a snowy parking lot. He said they have plows at the ready for the parking lot...but people getting TO the stadium is a major concern.

Oh, and Panthers had to cancel their pep rally... which was supposed to be happening right now.

I know it won't happen but one wonders what would the NFL do if the Cards simply could not get there?

Guys. They are the running team. We have to throw to be successful. Generally speaking, this is horrible news. With that said, to the best of my knowledge, Warner had never won games for us when there was precipitation. When I saw it would be raining for our playoff game against them in the last SB run I lost all hope to be honest. We all know what transpired. Where's Jake Delhomme when you need him?

I luv how everyone is freaking out! :D

It's all about overcoming adversity & this Cards team excels at it. This team has set records & made history all year.

Believe baby!!! History is on the horizon.

Go Big Red:newcards:

Actually, I'm sort-of hoping they have to call out the National Guard. The team buses are escorted to the stadium by a lot of military vehicles with flashing lights. Arians is the first one off the bus looking like Schwarzkopf about to drop Shock and Awe on the opposition.

Then he does just that.

Good gosh you people in the dessert and in warm weather freak out about nothing.

Look... It's going to be one way Friday and then stop Saturday and another way on game day because weather CHANGES!

It's Charlotte SOUTH CAROLINA whatever happens one day with ice and snow will be gone the next day stop freaking out people.

To Charlotte this is like having a blizzard but it's barely a snow folks some ice is bad mainly cause they have no idea what to do.

It's NOT going to be rainy or snowy or icy when we play this isn't that big of a deal.

I actually did quite a bit of research on this and dome teams going on the road in the cold fair worse than any other teams, HOWEVER, Palmer is the QB and played in a colder weather climate most of his career he's fine and the rest of the team will adjust it's only going to be 30 degrees with light wind at the worst during the game.

They'll live.

Yeah I'd be more worried about playing a 15-1 team on the road myself.

LOL playing football at 30 degrees is fun you stay warm because you're exerting energy it's more fun than sweating to death.

Heck 30 degrees here now is shirt sleeve weather. Right now it's a balmy 27 degrees and the birds are happy because it warmed up.

LOL.
