Seriously if anyone is watching this from the Cardinals given the forecast its going ot be slippery probably with proper cleats what's going to happen is you're going to dig in too much to change directions quickly.

Practicing on snow is stupid unless it's going to be snow covered when you play that's not going to do anything except possibly get your guys hurt.

LOL that's great maybe they'll all catch a cold?

It won't be that way on Sunday watch.

Yeah. It is supposed to be clear on Sunday. I've heard they covered the field, so there will be no snow on the playing surface. I am not sure how practicing in the snow when their is no chance of snow on the surface is helpful. Practicing in the cold might be worthwhile though.

Good gosh you people in the dessert and in warm weather freak out about nothing.

Look... It's going to be one way Friday and then stop Saturday and another way on game day because weather CHANGES!

It's Charlotte SOUTH CAROLINA whatever happens one day with ice and snow will be gone the next day stop freaking out people.

To Charlotte this is like having a blizzard but it's barely a snow folks some ice is bad mainly cause they have no idea what to do.

It's NOT going to be rainy or snowy or icy when we play this isn't that big of a deal.

North Carolina.

I know where getting ready for a blizzard here. Anywhere from 6"-18". What's fun is watching people panic. There's a video of a guy mocking people thinking they need 10 loaves of bread and 12 gallons of mild to be snowed in for a day or two at worst.

Question.

The Cards have received word that they should use seven (5/8") studs in their cleats for the Carolina surface. (The max allowed by the NFL).

They've been practicing in them all week to get used to them.

However, we don't have a mushy, swampy surface for them to practice on. We have a pristine surface.

So is practicing with those long studs on a perfect surface a good idea? Could it contribute to, say, a toe injury on our starting RB?

I don't know but it sounds like a bad idea to me.

People shouldn't over think this. We get in Saturday they should do some training on the real deal there if they can just to get somewhat ready but practicing on those in perfect weather isn't going to help at all.

The main difference is that when you wear cleats like that it's going to dig in and make some of the cuts they do impossible.

They need to be practicing one move routes with less of a cut in them the DB's can't cut either the best way to do it is run right up on a guy give a slight fake you're going to turn and stop then burn by them they can't recover in time.

BA coached enough in cold wet weather he knows what to do.

I know it won't happen but one wonders what would the NFL do if the Cards simply could not get there?

They would delay it until Monday if the worst case scenario came to pass.

But, much ado about nothing.

By Sunday, the conditions will not be worse than Seattle or Philly this season. If we lose, let's not be lame butt-hats like Seattle fans and flip out blaming the refs and/or the weather.

Yeah I was more just wondering what the NFL would do but I suppose the only thing they could do was postpone it.

I have friends in Virginia and DC that are calling it another snowmageddon but sounds like Charlotte isn't expected to get hit as bad or for as long.

Man, that field is gonna be terrible. That is a big concern. Cards need to be aggressive in the pass game to win this. Test those safeties in coverage. But with how this field is going to be....it will be difficult and to the Panthers advantage.

Mark Schlereth:

The field conditions will affect defensive pass rushers more than offensive linemen. Might help negate pass rush advantage.

No it won't. Advantage goes to WRs, and we already have an advantage in that matchup.

We're going to torch them. If Carolina wins, it's in a shootout.

Actually, I'm sort-of hoping they have to call out the National Guard. The team buses are escorted to the stadium by a lot of military vehicles with flashing lights. Arians is the first one off the bus looking like Schwarzkopf about to drop Shock and Awe on the opposition.

Then he does just that.

No...Just remember how that went for the University of Miami in 1986...

Arians said he feels bad for #AZCardinals fans who could have trouble getting to N.C. but game day weather concerns are overrated.

The snow is on a tarp. It won't sink into the ground. They are plowing the snow off the tarp and then will remove it sometime tomorrow. At least the snow isn't sitting on the field directly.

I'm glad I have an obligation for Monday, because I was tempted to drive down. I'd have bought tickets, and looked at the weather coming, and...it would have been bad, because it's not like I'd have stayed home :)
