As great of a game as the Arizona-Seattle game was, I heard it scored the lowest ratings (# of viewers) of all of the Sunday night games in 2015. The NFL likes money, so they're always going to feature the teams that drive the highest ratings - which means those games get the best broadcasting and officiating crews. Of course, every now and then the NFL has to keep it real by featuring a low ratings, competitive team like the Cardinals. So they'll do it. But not often and they won't like it.

The ratings were low for the Seattle game too? I thought I heard the Cincy-Cards game was the lowest of the season.

That was right after the Seattle game that I heard that. So yeah, you could be right. That sucks then. You'd think after the great Seattle game, more people might tune in. But then, if you're comparing Seattle and Cinci, you'd think Seattle would draw more. So makes sense.

Man, you know the NFL won't really be happy with Carolina or us in the Super Bowl unless NE is there.

A Cincy v. Carolina/Arizona Super Bowl would probably be their lowest rated big game in 5 years.

I just saw that the Cards didn't allow one 3rd down conversion. Not bad!!

AZ/SEA was the season low, but up 14% from the same week last year.
AZ/CIN then became the season low, down from last year as well, but no mention of it being an all time low that I could find.

Lets hope for a Cards-Bengals SB!!

Don't think anyone said either game was all-time low. Just lowest for season.

I'm not surprised... why are people on the East Coast gonna stay up late for a Sunday/Monday night football game with teams they probably don't care about?

The Seattle game started at what time on the east coast? 8pm? and probably lasted until 11:30pm - 12am? Same thing with the Cinci game (hour earlier).

Now if you throw east coast teams on Sunday/Monday night then west coasters will still watch because the game starts early for us & it's the only football game on TV at the time.

Also,

Heroes:

1) CBs (not named Powers)
Tyrann Mathieu - lead the team in tackles, had a few tackles for loss, big INT
Patrick Peterson - shut down Torrey Smith with a bad ankle
Tony Jefferson - game clinching sack

2) Carson Palmer - Not his best game, not his worst, but the game winning TD run from the 15 yard line was impressive (although scary).

3) WRs: Fitz & John Brown - great games for these 2

Honorable mention - JJ Nelson... still making rookie mistakes, but can also take the top off the defense.

Goats:

1) RBs - CJ had a horrible game, Duke was better, but both getting hurt after probably one of our worst rushing games of the year is worse. They were given lots of opportunities to be the focal point of the offense in this game & didn't take advantage of it.

2) O-Line - Stunk it up in the running game... especially 3rd & short & goal line. Pass protection was better than last week.

3) D-Line - Lots of injuries here, but they're not getting enough push/pressure on the QB & not tackling RBs (that's up the the LBs, CBs & Safeties)

Dishonorable mention - Arians - tried to force the running game when it just wasn't working. We needed to put pressure on them by passing the ball to open up the run. Also, I hate that jumbo run package with Fitz motioning inside... we might as well yell out to the defense that it's a running play.

When you are in what looks like a running formation you will typically run out of that formation a good majority of the time while mixing in passes to put some doubt in the defenses mind. Also keep in mind that some of that ( or possibly a lot of it) goes on Palmer because he has the option to change the play depending on what he is seeing (like the quick slant at the end of the game to Smoke to ice the game).

And doesnt that suck? Id give just about anything to have a SB feature 2 upstart teams from out of nowhere rather than the same old tired NE, PITT, GB, stuff over and over. Hell, Id even take perennial almost there teams like IND and DEN over the same ole same ole.

But then, Im not Joe Plumber.

I don't believe this. I truly think most forum members are terribly happy and enthusiastic, but winning increases expectations and hopes. Before, we just wanted to make the playoffs, now we're wondering if we can win the whole thing and if not then why is that, what's our weakness? That's all it is.

Well said.
