It seems he deleted all his Cardinal stuff.

Baker on trading block?
Would be really baffling given how much they have positioned him as one of the corner stones of the team. But then I remind myself that this coaching staff and GM have no ties to our current players. Would be sad to see him go.

I'm really afraid we are going to turn into the Matt Patricia Lions or the Gettleman Giants. Last year's 3 win misery except instead of injuries causing it it is a horrible roster and it lasts 3-4 seasons. We are trying to get rid of every single leader on the roster this off-season and we just hired the youngest/least experienced coaching staff ever to go along with a first time GM. This could go so so wrong. I have to believe it can't be worse than 2018.

People don’t listen when I compare what we’re doing to the Houston Texans starting three years ago.

Not sure what people expect the Cards should do about Budda Baker?

Should they Steve Keim the year again just to keep him happy so we can pretend we can challenge and have another couple of years of 6-11 or 7-10 seasons before he's FA?

I don't expect any 27 year old to be happy about a 100% guaranteed losing season but it needs to happen. The cap mismanagement and roster needs a reset.

This development is just another reason why he should be traded. It makes sense for all sides. It's not particularly palatable but that's where we are.

It's not a "WTF Cards?" reaction here from me, but a "WTF else can go wrong?" reaction.

Honestly feel this was kinda inevitable. There was a chance that Budda would play along because he's always been a good soldier but it's not at all surprising.

I don't think much comes of it. Feels like Budda is just flexing. I don't think he's the type to force this further.

It makes too much sense to trade him though. His age. His contract situation. We can try Simmons at SS. Massive cap savings to rebuild. There's lots of pros in trading him and only really "It will make me sad" in the cons.
