It’s about that time of the year again…

However, I believe the Cardinals CANNOT be mathematically eliminated from playoff contention this upcoming week.

They can be eliminated from the wild card race with a loss AND a Washington win.

Even if Seattle wins (9-5) and the Cardinals lose (6-8) we could mathematically overtake them for the division in a three-way tie at 9-8 with the Rams (which would negate the Seahawks’ head-to-head sweep over us), but the path is vanishingly narrow.

The Cardinals currently can still mathematically win the NFC West at 8-9, in a three- or four-way cluster. This scenario will likely be gone soon.

With the win over NE, the Cards stay alive for the wildcard, barely, needing to win out and have WSH lose out (one tie by either team would be OK), plus some other stuff.

We will have at least one elimination scenario next week regardless of what Seattle does tonight. Also, I believe we stay alive for the division next week with a win over CRL no matter what else happens.

I believe we’d be eliminated next week with a loss + Rams win over NYJ regardless of what Seattle does, but I’ll recalculate after tonight’s game and repost the new scenarios in the Week 16 thread.

Corrected my earlier post. We could be eliminated from the NFC West title next week even with a win over CRL, if the Seahawks beat GB and MIN and the Rams lose to the Jets. We would need the Rams to be able to force the 3-way tie at 10-7.

Well let's hope Green Bay does us a solid like we did for them years ago and beat Minnesota.
