It’s about that time of the year again…
However, I believe the Cardinals CANNOT be mathematically eliminated from playoff contention this upcoming week.
They can be eliminated from the wild card race with a loss AND a Washington win.
Even if Seattle wins (9-5) and the Cardinals lose (6-8) we could mathematically overtake them for the division in a three-way tie at 9-8 with the Rams (which would negate the Seahawks’ head-to-head sweep over us), but the path is vanishingly narrow.
The Cardinals currently can still mathematically win the NFC West at 8-9, in a three- or four-way cluster. This scenario will likely be gone soon.
