I think the game plan will be to run early then use play action to throw deep. The Cards have to pressure Wilson but do so in an orderly fashion so as not to open huge escape lanes. I’d put Murphy on Lockett and take my chances Metcalf couldn’t beat me.

I don't see it as lying, per se, rather smoke screening a bit. Saying out of one side of his mouth, "We aren't resting anyone" while at the same time resting guys I think would play if it were a playoff game.
Absolutely. Done all the time. Avoids any criticism for not going all out.

Could be a distinction between the guys being 75% this week and they can go if called upon...
Or...
Sit them out and they should be 100% to start the playoffs.
Not sure I like it either

Maybe he is confident we can win without them...but history tells a different story.

I do really like chase but he is so often injured
Is a guy for ten touches maximum/game
Rondale Moore in the, sideline too, but has been injury plagued even before
He has the speed but never used to stretch the field
At least Isabella got some chances there

I mean, I guess so. Although KK has been aggressive with this team, sometimes to a fault. I don't see him being passive, especially after the 3 game losing streak, and after stating is opinion publically.

Can you recall an instance of smokescreen from KK?
There were weeks and weeks of players being “game time decisions” when I think they really knew kyler wasn’t going to play. I mean, if they’re being honest how is a player a game time decision and then sits out the next three games? He couldn’t have been close that first week to really be a game time decision if he had to rest an additional two weeks, right? I think that’s a reasonable assessment.

I hope that Breeland never sees the field. Dude was AWFUL for the Vikings this year.
Can't play any worse than Murphy & Peterson this past Sunday one would think? I could be wrong? He did look terrible for the Vikings, I only know this cause of watching for #21 during their games thinking it was PP21? PP21 is now PP7. Breeland wore #21 for the Vikings. In the VJ scheme & playing soft zone he may be ok? Not sure exactly what scheme Zimmer runs with the Vikings? Maybe it's more man to man & he sucks at that?

I read an article a few weeks back implying that Metcalf had been frustrated with Wilson on lack of targets, plus I think Metcalf hasn't been full strength in quite some time. Idk really?

I think this is spot on.

I’ll giveMurphy a little break here. Yes he had a poor game but he had some games earlier where he was the man.

Also without knowing the plan or the defensive call it can look like a player was beat badly but someone else not fo their job on a particular play, especially on coverage.

Its easy to see when a player misses a tackle or is called for a penalty.

on the Flight Plan show -- rough quote from KK:

"Do you remember who won the NFC South last year....... yeah, we have bigger goals"

that told me that unless someone is 100%, they arent playing
I understand what he’s saying, but that’s an awfully arrogant quote from a dude who just made the playoffs for the first time. Glad he’s set his sights high though.

Also this: I guarantee you if we won the division cardinals fans would remember next year. And for years. Isn’t that who matters?

I really go back and forth

i want 12 wins and the NFC West title and a home game

but, I'm also not sure it matters, especially when you consider that the #1 seed/bye was lost when AJ Green didnt turn around, and, this team inexplicitly plays far better on the road

What's also funny is that I am pretty sure he said this week that he wants the team to go in to the playoffs with momentum. Something, that at least to me, means the exact opposite of the "who won the NFC south" quote.

Either way..... I want the guys healthy for next week. And from the looks of it, we should be on the road for our games anyway. I'm fine if Allen sits as well. Heck...... Byron too.
