this is gonna sound odd, but what about fox sports grill at the staples center? is it open on non-game days? could you imagine a bunch of rabid suns fans invading that place for a suns playoff game?

maybe we should try to do this on the weekend. next round?

I'm pretty sure it's open - I'd go there to watch the game - they got decent food and definitely big screens. Downtown is pretty centralized.

Okay - Chap - Ouchie - you guys in for Wednesday night's game?

I think I can do it. Send me an email, it's in my profile, and I'll give you my number just in case.

Hahahahaha. Going to Staples Center to watch a Suns game sounds brilliant. I can't go wednesday, but I'd go Friday.

OMG - how classic would it be if that just became Suns central for the rest of the playoffs. I'd go Friday also - will be on my way out of town anyway to drive out to Coachella - would stop by there first and already have a head start.

I'd do both Friday and Wed - Friday's game likely starts earliuer though - like 5 because it'll be in Memphis. I'm assuming that will pose problems for people?

Umm, back to the game...

For those who weren't watching the national feed, here's a gem from TNT's analyst for the day, Mike Dunleavy (also head coach of the L.A. Clippers):

Q strips Stromile to save a dunk attempt:
Dunleavy: "GREAT defensive play by Q, I wish he did that for me!"

Q goes down to the other end and sets up for a 3:
Dick Stockton: "What about this?"

Q misses the 3:
Dunleavy: "oh he did a lot of that for me"

I'm starting to think that part of the Suns' trouble at home is with the officials. There seems to be a kind of "NBA Jam" effect--the Suns get ahead early by double digits, and as long as they're leading, the other team gets every 50/50 call from then on. (The last Nuggets game, I got caught yelling at the TV with the Suns ahead by 20+.)

Maybe it's just a by-product of the team's lack of consistent focus and aggressiveness?

Ugh. Downtown L.A. in Friday rush hour.

I just want to clarify that a lot of people want the suns to lose this series so that they will not be proven wrong on their "inputs" on how the game should be played.

Its been done to a point that Suns are actually as much of an underdog as memphis in terms of contendership. Several people even think Memphis will eliminate the Suns. Just to save face and keep their dreams of a defensive oriented playoff alive.

well I hope with all my heart that those people get shut down and just be forced to ****. Suns need Game 2, we need to play it as if the series is 0-0.... or better yet we need to play it as if its 3-3 in the series. We cant be comfortable and let one slip.... those people who wants this team to fail are crossing there sweaty fingers right now.... I just want the Suns to succeed and see their faces.

The game actually starts at 6, not 5, but I still wouldn't be able to make it until maybe 7, unless I leave early, which is possible, but not realistic.

LOL, I'd have to leave at about 1:00 in the afternoon. And even then it would be questionable.
