I hesitate to bring this up but curiosity is getting the better of me.

I have heard a lot of rumors during free agency but I can't remember hearing michael floyd's name once. Did I miss something or is he just done in the NFL?

He might still be in tent city. Once tent city done he is on house arrest. Combine that with how bad he was last year, he will at best get a vet minimum contract with a team.

Would you be interested in a guy who could barely even play for the entire season, got a DUI and is sitting in jail?

I wouldnt even take him for the vet minimum, rather draft someone.

I agree and to be clear, I'm not surprised he hasn't signed. I am just a bit surprised that we haven't heard ANYTHING. I figured that some team (most likely NE) would take a flyer on him for the league min. Just to bring him into camp and see what he has.

Just thinking about it now I imagine him sitting in tent city convinced that Bidwill, Keim and BA are blackballing him to other teams.

First, do you really think that the Cardinals would be that vindictive?

Second, Floyd got the best possible second chance when Belichick took a chance on him. We all saw how that turned out.

Michael Floyd has a serious problem, and until and if he is able to fix himself, he is not worth a damn to anyone else, let alone any team. I hope for his sake that Floyd figures it out and is able to become a better man. But unless he does, I am not one bit surprised that he isn't getting any attention.

lol I think his value was shot long before that. I imagine the heads of these programs had the same reactions to him kissing the trophy and calling himself a champion too.

2) He has strong relationships with the players in the locker room
3) He would be cheap
4) He is a possession receiver, which would technically fill a position of need

Of course, that would be contingent on if he's genuinely remorseful and has sought help for his addiction. I personally cant trust him because of his terrible season last year and off the field issues, but that doesn't mean the team doesn't feel the same way.

The vibe I got listening to the buzz that surrounded the incident was that the Card FO had been waiting to see or hear stuff from Michael that suggested commitment/sense of urgency. My impression was that they waited in vain.

The team made it quite clear how it felt. I seriously doubt, even if he somehow way, way belatedly shows some kind of remorse, that BASK changes their minds.
