What are the best and worst football stadiums that you have visited? (Sun Devil Stadium does not count...we all know that it is a foul pit).

The best:

Denver - Invesco Field at Mile High - Simply unbelievable.
Carolina - Ericsson Stadium - Great view...location.
Seattle - Great facility...wide concourses.

The worst:

Philadelphia - The Vet - They have "stadium goo" oozing from the walls.
San Francisco - 3 COM - Trash blowing in the air...dirty.
Dallas - I hate everything about that place.

I've only been to one other NFL stadium (yeah, yeah) but I enjoyed it. It was the Chargers stadium, whatever it's called now.

Besides SDS other joints I have visited include:

Old Mile High: Great atmosphere and Bronco fans are nuts
The Murph in SD: Fair-Good for baseball but sucks for football
Candlestick: so-so
Giants Stadium: As Tim Green said: It is a tin can in the middle of a swamp - no charm at all. Jets fans are hilarious though

The Vet was absolutely horrific. It's like someone took a look at Philly the city and said, 'hey, we can do a lot worse!' And for those who know Filthydelphia, that's saying a lot.

When SDS is sold out - there is nothing like it. Let's hope that happens more often this year!

Add my vote to the Vet. Soldier Field used to suck too. Wrigley was great in the temporary bleachers in right fielld and RFK was nice except for the 'Skins.

Best:
Mile High (First game ever there for me was in the South Stands for Raider v Broncos).

Worst:
Pontiac Silverdome (the coldest I've ever been in my life was going into that place in December(

SDS gets consideration for "Best" and "Worst".

Alltell is nice, it's right by the water. Good view, atmosphere. When I was in middle school I saw a World League (Orlando Thunder I believe) game at the Orange Bowl. That was right after I moved to Florida and was 12 years ago so I can't remember anything about the stadium. When I played pop warner football we got to go to a Syracuse game. Can't remember that one either.

Went to the Cards playoff game in Dallas. Very disappointed. Dirty, long walk from parking, real bad food stands makes Sun Devil look like a four star eatery.

Watching the Rams in LA was real bad.

Went to NO very nice stadium, nice people, comfortable seats. Good view lines great Cajon food!

Believe me I left in the third quarter, I am sure I am solely the source of the Cardinal curse if there is one it was the first time I had ever been to a Cardinal game live.

So if someone wants to go all out ninja on me and off me I will understand whatever I can do for the team and all.

Beware though I am chicken and will fight back and no I am not posting my address.....

"P.S..... Scorp if you have it on file in my profile or something I would appreciate you losing it or something....."

Worst football stadium

Busch Stadium in St. Louis when the Cards used to play there. A baseball stadium that they tried to convert to a football stadium on Sundays. What a mess.

Sad, but only been to three. I loved the Met Stadium in Minneapolis in November as a kid and hated SDS in September on the East side upper deck with no beer vendors, or ice vendors or hats with built in AC!! The HHH Metrodome was alright. Looking forward to Glendale.

I've been in 17 of the 32 stadiums that are currently in use, and by far the worst one I've ever been in the Metrodome in Minny. It looks like a giant circus tent (though the Georgia Dome looks more like one, but it's nice inside), and inside it just sucks. Lousy sight lines, tight, cramped concourses, small restrooms and not enough of them. Oh, and there's nowhere to freakin' park there!!! FedEx Field kinda sucks too (too big. Lousy sightlines from the upper deck). Philly is a dump, but everyone knows that.

THe best I've been to are Invesco at Mile High, Ericsson in Charlote, and Lambeau in Green Bay. Best tailgate atmosphere was easily Lambeau.

Can't wait to check out Ford Field, Heinz Field, and Cleveland Browns Stadium!

I'll refute the gripe against soldier field - there wasn't a bad seat in the house.

Indianapolis could suck if you get too high, ditto on the RCA dome, but the absolute worst was the old Cleveland Browns rust bucket. I once saw us get creamed under Buddy Ryan (with the "***** QB" known as McMahon), but most of the interceptions we threw were unviewable due to the large rusty steel beams supporting the upper level. Thank goodness......

All poor...

I've only been to three stadiums... San Diego, Miami and Sun Devil Stadium. Of those, Miami was probably the nicest, but I was not overly impressed with any of them. I'm really looking forward to Glendale opening up.

Just when I think you can't get any dumber, you go off and say something like this!

And totally REDEEM yourself!

Of the four football venues I've been in, they rank as follows:

1. Sun Devil Stadium
Even when it's 130 in the stands, it's home

2. The Kingdome
The home of my first ever football game. Not too bad, but it had to go.

3. Anaheim Stadium
The venue of many Rams victories, before Old Lady Frontiere destroyed and moved that franchise.

4. Candlestick Park
BLEECH!

Rich stadium: Terrible - cold, cramped,

Old Cleveland Muni - Like the Rome's Collesseum - old, run down, but great history

3 Rivers - Generic land, nothing special except for the neat loacation "At the confluenece of 3 rivers"

SDS - Home, feels right, too many battles sticking up for "OUR TEAM" though. Had seats several years in south endzone - right behind goal posts, row 12 seats 23-24. Best seats in the house. Had to move though as I wanted to start taking my kids to the game and SEz is NOT the place for a 4 year old.

The worst: The Vet in Philly. Everything was bad. Even the drive there.

The Best: Hate to say it but the atmosphere in Cowboy Stadium was awsome. It may not be the best in physical facilities but the crowd really gets you going. I cannot forget the Cards and Bears playing in Wrigley. That was really awsome.

What is this "ooze" that I have heard mentioned before at the Vet? Is is spilled beer or something?
