Oasis, my favorite songs by them are "Go Let It Out" and "Don't Look Back In Anger"....

KLL - I have an Oasis bootleg from Finsbury Park in London in 2002, and you gotta hear "Don't Look Back In Anger" with 80,000-90,000 Brits, who've been standing on the rain all day, singing along with the band at the top of their lungs. It's unreal!!!

What kind of genres are you interested in?

I suggested these bands in an earlier post:

The Polyphonic Spree (if you like Flaming Lips you'll enjoy them)
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/M_R/polyphonicspree.html

Alaska! (remind me of Pink Floyd)
http://pureyukon.com/listen/

Hayden (Canadian singer/song-writer who reminds me of Neil Young & Beck)
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/E_H/hayden.html

Cornershop (I've mentioned before... best known for their 1997 release "Brimful of Asha", but I love how they combine Indian flavored music with techno overtones)
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/C_D/cornershop.html

The Thrills (a band from Ireland that I saw open-up for Gomez on 07/25)
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/S_Z/thrills.html

I also would add other bands I've hinted about throughout this thread:

Ozomatli
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/M_R/ozomatli.html

sHeavy
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/S_Z/sHeavy.html

The Apples In Stereo
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/A_B/applesinstereo.html

The Vines
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/S_Z/vines.html

Earth Crisis
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/E_H/earthcrisis.html

Gov't Mule
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/E_H/govtmule.html

Then...there's always----
Gomez
http://cdzlimited.org/rock/E_H/gomez.html

That's all I'll recommend for now....:)

I've still been listening to a lot of The Who, The Smithereens (it's overwhelming how much their album "11" influenced Nirvana when they recorded "Nevermind"), Butthole Surfers, Our Lady Peace, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Led Zeppelin...... Guess I've been mainly more into the "Classics" this past week....

I also would be very interested in somehow obtaining a copy of this....Do you have it uploaded onto your computer?

Wow, imagine going to see them in concert and not hearing Wonderwall or Champagne Supernova. I'd be kinda pissed. Still, a great selection of songs, but how do you not play those two songs?

I went to see Sheryl Crow two years ago and she did not play "All I Wanna Do". I was highly disappointed.

I think they played a few shows in and around London at that time and they were mixing things up a bit. I have another boot from Sheffield, England from 1997 that they play both of those songs at.

Yeah, it kinda sucks when you go see a band and they skip their biggest hit.

Some Might Say is one of my favorites of theirs, and it was not included on the Familiar To Millions set. :hulk:

The crowds at their concerts are incredible. I have the three DVDs of shows that they released, and I am truly amazed at the size of the crowds and the participation. I have been to a lot of concerts and have never seen anything like that. The Eagles at SDS when they first reunited was about as close as it gets.

Radioheads Amnesiac and Kid A appeared to be glued to my CD player

if you like Radiohead then give The Muse a try - very good stuff.

it reminds me of The Bends a lot. i couldn't recommend a single track off the album - the entire thing is absolutely great - solid from start to finish.

if you have ever heard of Star Sailor - The Muse is a blend of Radiohead and Star Sailor - good, good stuff. try The Muse out - your ears will thank you.

The Bends is good but it really isn't anything like Kid A or Amnesiac though...
