You must live in a bizarro world or not follow the NFL.

I'll admit, I thought maybe the 'Skins were a fraud team until they almost beat the Broncos last week. They're a good team. The Jags will give any team in the league a run for their money.

If not for the tuck rule they WOULD have beaten the Broncos. IN fact now they're saying the NFL is going to change the tuck rule since that's twice now it's changed the outcome of a game.

If there's a franchise QB staring us in the eyes, we'll rally down the stretch & win some meaningless games. Some morons on this board will be ecstatic if that happens. I personally hope that once there is NO chance to make the playoffs, then we lose out & get a true impact QB in the draft. My prediction is that we run just a little bit better & finish either 5-11 or 6-10.

If you want to lose, you are a loser. I want Leinart and think that we should trade up to get him but losing on purpose is no something that I want to see.

On the record itself to be honest I'm really not that pessimistic, I don't expect to be anywhere near Leinart without a trade.

The 2 best teams on our schedule are philly and the Colts and it's the last 2 games when it's entirely possible both teams will rest starters for the playoffs. I think a split there is quite conceivable.

The next best teams are Seattle, Washington and Jax. Seattle blitzed us but the rematch could go our way if our CB's heal a bit and we improve our run game at all. THat game really went south when Warner went out and Josh turned it over right away, but he's playing much better now.

Washington has a great defense but until Brunell's recent surge, their offense wasn't that good. The game is at home and while I figure they will win, its' not a lock. Jax is kind of weird their run defense is really off this year, the passing game hasn't taken off yet because Williams hasn't taken the quantum leap expected and Jones isn't ready. They're obviously talented and could flip on the switch and take off at any time, but right now I'd say it's another game we could win.

The 2 big losses this year both had extenuating circumstances, the total special teams collapse against NY, and Warner's injury against Seattle, we were in both games at the half.

I think the team is good enough where if something fundamental changes like we learn to run the ball or we find a TE, we can probably improve enough to win some games.

I think 7-9 wins is quite possible although 9 takes a LOT of things going right.

We could certainly collapse if the CB injuries continue to plague us or the run game doesn't get going and the pass slacks off. But I'd be pretty disappointed if we don't win 7 games this year.

Jax could run us into the dirt, IMO. And, Jimmy Smith would take any one of our CBs to school.

On defense, it really wouldn't matter that their run stopping is a little off...our running game is MORE that just a little off. Advantage: Jax.

They're clearly better than us, just look what they did to Seattle, but they are one of those teams that seem to have been unable to take that next step. I would expect them to beat us, but it wouldn't stun me if they don't. They do have a terrific middle to their defense which figures to just annihlate the middle of our OL.

I think only about 5-8 teams are clearly better than us.

I think almost all the teams above us are playing better fundamental football than we do but talent wise we are pretty high up there IMO.

Hopefully a miracle will happen in the run game and we will get that on track.

With that comes all kinds of possiblities, without that we see the same results as always just do it with more talent.

I'm a moron, then.
I wish I sophisticated enough to WANT the the Cards to lose so they can get a highly touted college kid who MAY or MAY NOT turn out to be able to play in the Grown-ups league.

for using "morons" that isn't directed at ANYONE?

Sure it is. Its directed at many on THIS BOARD. Even though they arent named it doesnt mean that it isnt a violation of the rules.

apparently some of the "talent" involved was flown in from other states and transporting someone across state lines for prostitution is a federal crime they say.

Not only would they have to prove they brought them across state lines they would have to prove someone paid them for sex. Tough job for a prosecutor.

Where's Ed Norton when you need him?

Basketball is a whole nother animal - lotsa under 20's can have an impact in that game.
Football is a collision sport.
Pro defenses are lot faster than anything a college player has ever seen.
It didn't make me cry cry when whoever it wass called us all morons, i was just firing back in my aggressively friendly way...
