I actually liked Singletary better than Dragic, at least at this point...

I sure hope Dragic becomes the player he was hyped up to be...

they hyped dragic up to be a spectacular player, and he just isn't. he looked awesome compared to the other players in the league he was in before, but in reality it was just a pipe dream for us to hope that he'd be able to be the backup point guard on a championship team.

wow, give the guy some time... devin harris looked like crap for what!? 3 or 4 years. and he was playing D1 ball. maybe dragic doesnt have it but we are going to have to wait at least 2 years before we judge him.

Devin Harris as a 21 year old rookie put up twice the production in similar minutes as the 23 year old Dragic who has had pro experience.

And even if you think we need to wait 2 years before we can judge him(I'm trying to refrain from calling him Tragic until after year 2), we certainly dont need to wait to judge the decision to pay him as much as a lottery player while handing him the back up PG role.

So the Suns spend all the money they saved in '07 by trading Rudy Fernandez on a guy they convince everyone can step in as the back up PG only to have another year of Barbosa taking all the back up minutes.

I think there is hope for Goran (at least I'm willing to give him time to develop), however, he needs to get consistent minutes every night to improve. Unfortunately, I don't think he has as much opportunity now as he did previously with LB playing fairly well at PG and the addition of Dee Brown. Goran is going to have win back his playing time in practice. This will be hard as the Suns seem to be playing better as a team.

Man is Dragic bad. You can say what you want about transitioning to the NBA, but how does that explain how badly he shoots? It's pain inducing to watch the ball rocket off the backboard when he gets off even a clean shot.

Somebody should link that thread about the 101 things better than Goran's shot. That thing was great.

I can say one good thing about Goran, he has a much cheaper contract than Banks. :)

Tucker has been recalled from D-League. My guess it means Dragic will be sent there soon.

No one left in Iowa

Suns guard Alando Tucker rejoined the team after a two-game NBA Development League stint with the Iowa Energy.

The Suns considered sending Goran Dragic to the D-League but decided he will stay with the team. Dragic's parents and brother have been visiting him in Phoenix, but Friday was their last day before they return to Slovenia.

I also thought Dragic was heading there but I saw Dee Brown was inactive for the last game so I got confused. Good Luck Goran!!

So if Tucker is back, and Goran isnt going, is Brown going to be in a suit or are we really going to have a complete roster?

I'm sure Goran will go to D League soon. I'm convinced he needs to play under NBA rules and get used to the calls and how much quicker everyone is.

BTW, the original game plan of signing Lue and working with Dragic as the third string/d-League guy was a great plan. Lue is playing 12.6 minutes a game averaging 4.9 ppg on 45.3% shooting and 15 of 30 for three. The extra money for Lue would have been well spent, but they tried to stay under budget.

Or the Suns could have signed Pargo and left Dragic in Europe. The Suns definitely need a veteran at PG. I'm not sure if Dee Brown is the answer.
