Does anyone know what his current status is? Was he envolved in this camp? Is he playing full speed? IMO he is a very important part of thsi years ability to stop the other teams top WR.

ROLLE RECONFIGURED
Saying he feels “120 percent better” after getting scar tissue removed in arthroscopic surgery on his left knee May 15, cornerback Antrel Rolle insisted he will be ready for the beginning of training camp July 30.
“I am going to do that,” Rolle emphasized. “No doubt about that.”
Rolle said he is close to getting his entire range of motion back in the knee. His decision to have the procedure was easy, because “I knew I needed it. I know my body. I wasn’t going to play 85 percent.”
Rolle also said he will not be wearing a knee brace.
“I don’t believe in braces,” he said. “If you wear a brace, you can’t play.”

I predict we all our sleeping on A Rolle, Last year many had him picked as the best player in the draft, I think he is going to have an unreal year, He is an extremely physical Corner, Cards need that to help the run

I love Rolle as the pick last year and I think he can be one of the best DBs in the league. Those comments worry me a little as it seems he might not be willing to suit up if not 100%

Judging by how often you are "right" around here, this sounds like a good thing.

Expect him to have a great career and no more knee problems.

Don't you think that if that were a real possibility the Cards would have picked up another CB or 2 or 3?

With Amare, that's a possiblity. Not as much with Rolle.

No. I really do think both Antrel Rolle and Amare Stoudemire are done.

That Leinart can't play because he wears a brace, that's pretty funny!

It's really quite simple. Many athletes have various knee surgeries, rehab and are fine. But those who injure a knee and after rehab immediately have more trouble with the same knee, usually, in my unscientific observation, don't recover enough to be effective again.

As for KVB, I was for keeping him. He had one injury to each knee with no subsequent trouble to each.

Like Boldin?

It is also pretty standard to go back into a knee after the original surgery to cut out scar tissue, in fact it makes the knee even better. A coworker of mine(just had it done himself) told me his doctor told him that 75% of knee surguries will require a second minor one to remove standard scar tissue build up and fluid. The second surgery that Rolle had is no big deal. He was doing stationary bike and agility drills only 1-2 weeks after getting the scar tissue taken out.

In fact a lot of people play with scar tissue and have it removed in the offseason. Depending on were the tissue is at it wont effect agility or speed its just hell a painfull.

Ok Skkorp. I know you are a mod. I know you pretty much run this site and I think you do a hell of a job. I love this forum and believe me i understand that the message board is the proper place for your opinion.

But you are really starting to agitate me with all the "Amare is done" and "Antrell are done" comments.

I have never once seen you back those up with any kind of substansiated facts. Amare has been windmill dunking for three weeks now and the reason the optimisim is so high with him is because PEOPLE IN THE KNOW HAVE BEEN WATCHING HIM PLAY! You, my friend, are no NBA insider. I'm not sure if you say this kind of thing because you want shock value, or because you want to manipulate impressionable minds or most likely just because you want to be the one person at the end that in the small chance both guys are done - you can be "that guy" and say i told you so. Or maybe you just are severly depressed and being "realistic" is keeping it real for yourself.

The truth is i used to get worried when you made these all encompassing statements about my two favorite players a few months back, as if you knew something i didn't. But then i realized something: You know even less about the situation with Amare than I do (otherwise you wouldn't keep ignoring those little things called "facts") and I'm guessing you have very little insight into Rolle either other than hearing the word "knee injury" and assuming the worst.

Seriously no disrespect but its all a bit played out. We get it. You don't think they are coming back. And i will eat all the crow i can handle should you be right. But otherwise if i wanted opinions based on conjecture - I would go read an article by Gambo.

Arizona's finest (term used loosely), we argued this to death when Swann and then Wadsworth had their microfractures and I'm just too damned lazy to go through it all over again.

I have no idea what how this microfracture thing works. But is it safe to assume that there have been advances in this procedure and the rehab techniques since Wadsworths had his done 6 years ago when it was still a relatively newer type procedure and less main stream 6 years ago.

I remember Skorp, hope was crushed and the D-Line never recovered / developed to match the hype.

Could have saved a lot of heart-ache if I had managed my expectations to a concervative level.

You might be right about Amare; I think his knee repair did involve microfracture. I hear more about failures than successes with this procedure.

Rolle's knee injury did not require micofracture, true? I believe him when he says he is be back at full speed; his words, not the company's.

By the way, the Surgeon General recently stated that Kool-Aide, taken in moderation, has been shown to have a positive health benefit to disappointed die-hard Cardinal Fans.
